Just waiting on the insurance to give me a go ahead, but the estimate was 1,307.96. Does that sound right? $38 dollar labor for (311 for work on the body, and $459 work on the refinishing and blending in of the paint), and $308 dollar new part. Oh yeah, 217 in taxes. I guess they are expensive from working with dealerships, so they at least will do a good job.

I'm in a Boston, and wondering if there's anyone who knows a great body shop.Or any websites with options to check on where to go. :p

If not my insurance will take care of it, somehow.

Thanks NICOclub!

I was going to take a look at getting a Billet Grill and matching the paint to my car as a Holiday gift, but I can do that anymore!

Humm? Maybe your color is easier to match?

Just the fender was damage, although I see the corner of the bumper with overpaint. The guy, who estimated it, said that the color needs to be blended in, so the hood, bumper, and passenger door would need refinishes. So, the Precision Grey is a pain in the ***, was what he was trying to convince me.

seems kinda pricey IMO... you are right though, raza's was a black coupe... Is insurance paying for it?

Also, if you dont have a from a friend using that place, dont go there.... paying up doesnt mean you get quality work... Im sure a local will chime in to help... Ill edit the title to help.

Maybe post in nico general for a shop if theres no AC guys around you.

Thanks LBC!

Ha, yea well Insurance is going to review it. I'm looking through Yelp at Auto Body Shop reviews, and checking on locals at work.

Yelp has a lot of nonsense that fools with the system... Id want someone REAL (someone we know isnt affiliated with the shop) to say they are happy with them..Yelp doesnt prove itself to me IMO...

u live in the boston area? i know of auto body shop. In around the mass ave area. The place is call V&N Autobody Shop. It's viet/chinese place. Got into like 2 accident before and it was the same spot, what are the chances? both on the driver side busting the head light and front bumper and going into the fender. They fixed it up real nice and got the colors to match nicely. also had a few scratches on the bumper and on of the side mirrors so they repainted those for me for free too. Good guys there. Here's their number if your interested. 617-427-8585. they'll help you out and see if they can it done for cheap but with quality work. up to you though if you want to give these guys a try.

Well, I went to Peter's Autobody in Jamaica Plains and then to V&N after work, and V&N pretty much took Peter's Autobody to a lower price. The dealership was 1307. Peter's was 955. They brought it down to 933. Guess it's all up to see which one the insurance will want. :p

Either way, I hope the one who gets the bid does exceptional work.

I have seen the blending done... it is a lot of work but worth it.If blending isn't done you will notice the new paint under certain street lights.

Sorry to hear about your car, and I hope your car gets fixed.

Perfection Auto Body on Water street does good work. My buddies Lincoln was hit in rear quarter, It has pearl white paint and they did a great job matching it.Only way to get a good match is to have it blended in. Can't hurt to get another estimate.
