Both of them were rough, but he said I should be able to make one good one from the two. He sold them both to me for $50, so I figured I couldn't go wrong even if I sold them for parts. So I pulled the trigger on them and brought them home. I pretty much hauled home a pile of dirty parts and was a little skeptical at first as you can see below:

But I pressure washed them and they showed a little more promise right away:

Plus the kid was already in love with them so it was already too late

So I stripped both down completely and started building them:

I've been gathering everything together for a couple of weeks now and spent a lot of time researching, then deciding on what colors to paint everything. My original intention was metallic pink, but that was a hard color to find in a rattle can. So I put it in primer and finally selected a color scheme for it.

The color is Sonic Blue, which was used on the Ford Ranger and Mustang a few years ago. It appears purple in certain light, so it passed the cool test for a color.
Yes, I did put spray on bedliner in the bed of it

Test fitting parts:

Getting rid of that ugly yellow on the seats and what's left of the John Deere Green(yuck):

Final coat of clear on and brush guard painted and installed.

Shock covers, seats and steering wheel installed:

Final pics of it for this weeked:

LOTS of work done this weekend to it, but still have a lot ahead too. I have to locate one new gearbox(for the drive wheels), a new battery, and install all of the electronics and hardware. I am pleased with how it is coming along though. It makes me very happy to be building something unique for my child to enjoy and something that no other kid around here will have
