Method, Great advice on the bumpers. Unfortunately, it comes late. This thread is very old. Several months anyhow. It was my very first post. But since it has risen from the ashes I'll give a little update:
I've since ditched the thrashed Invader front (I actually massacred it with a hacksaw, painted it, and drove it for a little while). I acquired a Veilside front from r1jlewis (the s15 bezel guy) and painted it and hung it. Just finished rough fitting the headlights today, so everthing is all in place. I've now got the Veilside and some aftermarket SLR fenders. Both painted with Matrix BC/CC. A 'decent' color match. It's the Emerald Blue color. That's the color that switches with the light between a green, blue, purple color. The greenish looking part in the direct light is spot on, but the part in the shadows is a little bluer than the OEM paint. I'm pretty pleased for a daily driver and my first real auto paint job. I actually like the slightly bluer hue better, so I might opt to repaint the rest of the car too. I'm now looking for a good set of sideskirts to compliment the front. That and a new set of headlights, as my brackets are broken. Right now I'm stuck in a tough spot cause my bro stole my wheels for his s13 and managed to shear the special tool off in one of the lugnuts. He took one to the tire factory to see if they had one and they said they have never seen one like it. Can't drive on his stock steels either cause the ride height is too low and she drags her belly on even minor bumps. Plus it looks hideous. So now he's drivin' around in his car, which I bought, with my 18's, with sunset orange paint which I bought for my other ride. Brothers, what good are they??
2fizzle, how's the drift scene in Niles, LOL????? I actually work at a box plant (G-P) which makes alot of boxes for Niles, which I believe is located in Niles. They are one of our heavier workloads. Guess they sell lots of veggies? The weather and the roads suck here for cars, but I thank God everyday that I don't live in Cali... the world would be a better place without smog referees and the CHP. They may be the epicenter of the tuner auto scene, but they are far from free. Like a seperate socialist/facist country.
