17psi isn't alot he needs to run 25psi plus on that thing.

naw.. Im taking it he has the .63 ex housing. Seems like he could tune it more with that boost pressure and get more power... That is a decent amount of boost. He should be seeing around 400 on that pressure.

Where you on a mustang dyno?

Could be his stock cams and it's only a 2.0. RB25 would make power at that boost level for sure.

Im not saying the numbers are bad (sh*t he's putting down more than me) but i guess im just comparing his numbers to carl h's numbers with a gt30r and at those same boost levels(im thinking of the numbers before his new setup)... and yes i read the post i know this is a rb20

ok for the rb20 in stock form i think this is the limit. remember the rb20 heads have a very small intake and exhaust valves and runners. second the valve spring start to float and i need bigger cams (more duration). but i don't care im building a rb25 so for me is enough for now. the power curve after the 360whp decrease. another i was running 8300 rpm's. NO POINT w stock engine it doesn't make more power after 7500 rpm's

were you getting valve float?on my tomei cams revving to 8.5k i hadnt experience valve float.i think the general agrememnt is that past 6.5k stock cams for the 20 prove to be a hinderance to power.

yes i understand this but the tomei cams have not only increased duration but lift as well, so i should have had valve float problems...

Higher lift cams with springs that are not strog enough would have valve float.

Long duration cams might have a problem with blow through.

I've never heard of valve float with stock cams, unless your spring are badly worn???

What intake and exhaust manifolds are you running... and where are you seeing full boost with that turbo?

Oh... and how did you mount the turbo if you do happen to be using a stock manifold?

You can send the file to me and I'll post it:[email protected]
