Hi all.

I know this has been done before with RB26DETT engines, but here are my 200sx - 13 with 4x4 from R32/R33/Z32 and RB30DET.

Front suspension is from a R33 GTR, rear subframe is from a Z32 with R32 GTR diff, transmission is R32 GTR, front oil pan / diff is also from a R32 GTR, and so is the ATESSA ECU and wiring. Engine is RB30DET.

I have done all the hard parts now, front suspension is done together with custom dampers, rear subframe is also done together with custom damers, transmission is ready to be fitted, my engine block is ready for R32 GTR oilpan. Only need to assemble my engine again, sort the rest with the ATESSA wiring, mount it all (Have had it mounted with a test engine block) do the new wiring for the engine, plus some small stuff when engine is in. Hopefully I can still use my exhaust manifold, don't know until the real engine is in the car.

Hope you will take a look and give some feedback.

I have one question, will the ATESSA ECU actually work the 4x4 without ABS stuff mounted? Cant fint a good answer for that one.

I don't have the R33 service manual, but I do have the R32 service manual. It does state that it uses the wheel sensors to feed into the ET-S computer to decide how much torque to split to the front wheels. I have no clue how the ATESSA system will run without the ABS sensors, but I have a feeling that the system will give you lots of problems without them since there's a separate fault code for each sensor.

Did you mount the G sensors? Those are another set of sensors the ET-S computer needs to make decisions on torque splitting.

Good luck on an awesome build and welcome to NICO!

I have all the manuals, diagrams, and fault codes etc.. Were just wondering, as it can give a fault code if ABS stuff is not there, if it then will shut down for the 4x4 also. If its a problem, I will mount the ABS stuff from a R32 GTR also.

I have all the sensors, ABS, g sensor etc.. I will use the ABS sensors, as the 4wd needs them, together with g sensor, tps, rpms etc etc.

Thanks.

OP, you should hit up the guys at FullRace. The only ppl I know of even mildly successful at swapping GTR drivetrains into s-chassis.

I have the drivetrain in the car, my only concern is if the ATESSA ECU will control the 4x4 without ABS connected. If I get fault codes, and it doesn't work, I will mount the ABS block also.

But will contact them if I get into trouble.

Just an update on this.

Car is running with 4x4, works just like in a skyline GTR and with a newly built RB34DET.
