Ya BMW's are expensive to own, plus you have to put premium gas in them. I must say they are beautiful. My brother bought a BMW convertible that he only uses in the summer. It's gorgeous!

how about none of the above. Drive into the ground while saving the equivalent of your next car payment so you can pay cash. Continue that cycle and you will be leaps and bounds ahead on your finances.

I second the BMW suggestion. We have owned 5 BMW's in total (2 right now) and I will say that the maintenance costs have not been significantly higher than anything else. The most expensive vehicle we have owned was a Chevy Tahoe that was always in the shop. We currently have two BMW's that were both purchased CPO. Once those expire, I will use my local mechanic but buy parts for him with my BMW Car Club discount of 15%. I also will do some basic maintenance myself. I have no concern driving them for 200,000 miles to get our money's worth. The feel of a rear wheel drive vehicle is so much better than front wheel drive IMHO. Fred

I saw one on the highway the other day and it looks retarded from the back. Round but square at the same time, so weird. But everyone has different tastes and styles that they like so it will still most likely be a big seller. Everyone I know seems to have or want a Mazda 3.
... I just looked up the new design. What happened to the once beautiful Mazda 3?

If you get a Mazda3 at least buy it black, the new smiley face looks awful but looks better in black.

I'd get an STi though. 300 ponies and one hell of a ride. But that's just me.

Im sure many things will come out by then.... but an 09 EX35 would be fairly reasonably priced by then. I absolutely love them! 297-horsepower V6!

I couldn't stand the Mazda3 I had to drive. It started out pretty nice but the more I drove it the more I hated it. I got to drive a Ralliart around the other day though. That was sweet.

My next car will almost definatly be a subaru. A friends Grandfather has a 2000 Outback with over 300 000 km on it and it is still going strong. And we have a 2003 Outback that just rolled over 100 000km and no issues yet!
