Well i think ive finnaly decided on my next project .....

going to place a ka24de in a 1988 YUGO GVx

this is going to be fun ......any other ideas on powerplants ?anything i have to watch for in a ka24de?

thinking i can make a 3 inch tall cage to fit between where the strut goes into the strut tower and the top of the strut bearing, 3 inch lift , this thing would be a wicked 2wd rally car .....

think this could be done for around 2 grand?

people would laugh so hard untill i handed them 13 second timeslips :ylsuper

Yugo's will always have a POS reputation associated with it. Have you considered reworking an old Mini-Cooper? They're about the same size, and already a fun car. They're also coming back into style with the new Bimmer version hitting the market. I have a neighbor that had one. Very cool car.

Get a 323 GTX ... they are AWD and turbocharged and VERY light... especially when you remove the rear hatch lid. They also are really cheap and easy to upgrade. Kinda hard to find though.

yah i wanted something that was like 300 bucks and another 400 for a engine and transmission for it , thata way when a wrap it around a tree thrashing it in the woods i could just leave it there and go to the hospital to have my spleen put back in .

a 323 gtx would have to be restroed and babied cuz its a awesome car , same thing with a mini , need something disposable from korea or the ex yugoslavic area

ill see what kind of deal i can get on a DET . if i do go that rout ill restore the yugo and make it a show car , kind of a retro-rod . would be the laughing stock of the car show world untill i poped the hood (or it fell off)

A friend of mine is putting an SR20DE into a Metro. Should be done really soon. I should check on him to see how far along he is.

After he gets it running and stuff, he wants to turbo it too.

Hell yah dude , he and i could run the nira circuit , run in the peice of **** class , 10 second POS cars rule , speaking of crap cars with awesome engines , saw a CRX with a chrysler 2.2 turbo in the back once ...hmm naybe a chrysler turbo powered YUGO ...naw think ill stick with sr20de/sr20det power

A local here has somehow strapped a 500 cube Caddy motor in the center of a Yugo, put huge wheels and tires on it and runs it in SCCA races. Weird as all hell, but just as quick. I've never seen anything quite like it.

As far as the old Minis go they run around 6grand US. Lots of Minis for sale here A Mini is going to be my next car. Ive wanted one since I was 6 and saw the frist one my dad had. That was a slick little car.

might be a idea , need to find someone that knows the common places these things rust so i can get a decent one
