Hey guys, I have been a faithful 240sx owner for the past year and a half. It has done me nothing but good, and was a blast to drive. Unfortunately, I was rear ended by a pick-up truck and I had no collission on her, so she's gone now, well sitting in my auto shop at school, it hurts to look at her everyday when I come into class. Well anyways I recently purchased my next car, a 1992 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD, I know there might be some flames on this purchase but I am quite happy with it. This site has taught me alot about my previous car, and saved me a fair chunk of change along the way. Thanks for all your help guys/gals, it has been much appreciated.

Uninsured and suspended license, He was driving a old *** Mazda B-Series Truck, A lot of damage to his truck too, serves him right. he got taken away at the scene, because he apparently had previous violations. But basically I am screwed over, I guess I can take him to court, but the car cost less then 2g's so I don't know what I can get out of him and if the effort is worth it. Maybe we can make it our project and have it driving again by time the Talon breaks down :D Oh ya I am not to familiar with what my options are in this case either it's been a few weeks, I have all the information, and can easily obtain a copy of the police report. But what are my options??

Well, you can take him to court, but it'll be hard to find a lawyer to work on contingency for such a small sum. If he get's locked up you're really screwed, but if he has a job you can garnish his wages. First you need to get a settlement, maybe the $2k is covered by small claims court. A collection agency probably won't work (he has bigger problems) and they take 25-50%. Yeah, you're kind of screwed, but much better a $2k loss than a brand new car. At the very least, you'll be able to write it off your taxes (partly). Sorry, that's the best I can think of.

Thats terrible I know how you feel. I have an acura that I was racing and the guy ran the red light damn near folded the car in half the passanger seat was crushed. I use it for parts now.

It had a honda engine anyway I'm happier with my 240sx it's an all around better race car.

:(

I had no collission on my insurance and they covered it with the uninsured motorist thing. 1700$ damage, a guy in a stolen suv backed into and ran, they never caught him, all I had to pay was 200 bux for it to be fixed.

Have you checked about the uninsured motorist
