Well after a bunch of searching I finally picked up my next project car. I got a 2003 white on willow with 39,000 miles. The car is absolutely mint. The only regret I have is it did not have Navigation, but I couldnt pass the condition, miles and price. The plan of attack on the car is Rims, Drop and Kit. From there I plan to go with the full VIP treatment.

I have been trolling around here for a while and found quite a bit of info here.

I have had all euros in the past, a Mroadster and a 911 Targa. This will be my first japanese make.

Thansk for the welcome.

So far so good with the car. I had some minor issues, fuel gauge, and radio. I purchased an aftermarket warranty for it and it is all being taken care of at the dealer.

I cant wait to get working on this car.

I don’t mind the comments. I have been building unpopular cars for a while now. I took a BMW M and did it up with a Japanese flair, some loved it but the purist bimmer guys trashed it. I took a 911 and did it full widebody, same effect.

I know that my thing is just not a lot of people’s cup of tea. I like my cars and have had a ton of fun and great experiences building them. I got to travel to Puerto Rico with one of my cars, got to be in a movie, built a car for Scion and took it to SEMA and I have recieved a ton of sponsored parts.

Over the years I have learned that there a lot of people who will say all types of things on forums and just to ignore it and do what makes me happy, its worked so far for me.

Your attitude rocks!

Keep us posted on the progress. I always enjoy seeing what others do to their cars whether I agree with it or not.

What fun is it coming on a forum and talking about how your car is all OEM and just like everybody elses.

Thanks,

I was very excited to see your exhaust post and plan on having it done too. My buddy is trying to get me a price on an Aimgain muffler to do it with.

Ill let everyone know how things go.

Right now the car is at the dealer having some minor issues worked out. I have the dreaded gas gauge issue, and needed some light control module to be replaced. So far everything is being taken care of by my aftermarket warranty. While its in there the car needed some things like new belts, its 30k service and brake pads.

It was nice to see that when Infiniti looked up the VIN on the car it had been well maintained, oil changes every 3750 and the 15k service. I'm having Infiniti do the belts but I will be taking the car to Nissan for the service as its $489 there as opposed to $650 at Infiniti. I think ill take the car to a independent for brakes as Infiniti quoted $250 for the fronts and another $250 for the rears.
