Picked this up from Kerbeck Corvette in New Jersey. Joel (bubba) was nice enough to pick me up from the airport late Friday night, let me crash at his house, and even give me beer and food
He then drove me the 90 or so minutes the next day to the dealer in Atlantic City and made sure everything went OK and I got the car.
After that, the first leg of my journey back to Mississippi brought me from Atlantic City, NJ to Asheville, NC. I wanted to hit the tail of the dragon on the way home, and that seemed like a decent place to stop. I had intentions of going out for a beer or 2 in the town, but ended up just crashing at the hotel. There were some great roads on the way in, but I felt like I was missing some impressive views, as I was driving it at night.
The next day, even more great roads followed. I-40 in the area has a lot of nice, sweeping turns with plenty of elevation changes. After you get off that, things get tighter and more technical, until ultimately you end up on US-129 for the 11 mile stretch containing 318 turns. By this point, the car was broken in and I got to romp on it a good bit

From there I continued on through Chattanooga and over to Huntsville, where I grabbed a couple beers and some food with Zack (RicerX) while we watched the Pats game. We went to a joint called BJs that had their own house brewed beer. Both food and drink were excellent. We parted ways and I continued on back to my house, hit the sack, and went to work the next day.
According to the manual, you're supposed to change the oil after the first 500 miles. The car comes with that initial oil change (free) plus 2 more regular service oil changes. There's no dealerships around here that will work on a Corvette, so I did the change myself. Damn thing takes almost 10 quarts of Mobile 1.
Needless to say, the low mileage stuff that came out of there will be saved for use in the Honda.
Specs:
2017 C7 Stingray
7 speed manual
Z51 performance package
...and that's about it. Everything else is essentially exterior appearance options.
I wasn't a fan of the heated and ventilated seats in my last Corvette (they didn't work very well), and I hardly ever used the heads up display, so I didn't get them on this model. The black wheels on my last one were also a colossal pain in the a** to keep clean, so I figured I'd try the plain silver ones out this time.
