you make me giggle...XS-Power suck ***....

it will work, but no way efficient nor reliable comparing the real turbo

get a Master Turbo if you are on the budget (beware ebay knock-off on these also)

Lookin good is that their "top mount turbo kit"? Im thinking of doing the same thing, turbos are old technology, i bet the HKS i mean garrett ones are remand for about 300 bucks too. then the hks add on.

The way I see it, if they were that bad and everyone has been having problems with them, then they would have been out of business years ago..XS Power has been around a while. And still selling. How hard is it to copy a "GOOD" turbo and sell it for cheap and still have it work? If it does brake, I have learned my lesson. I have about $20k into this car and had to start cutting corners to get in under budget. Trust me, I deffinately would have rather had an HKS or Blitz or Garret.

Turbo compressor and turbine wheels/shaft need to be high speed balanced. I doubt XS did any of that and that's why they are so cheap.

I say if you guys are on a budget, keep the stock turbo. If the stock turbo is fudged, just get another stock or similar to stock!

The only thing original on the car are the shell, the doors, the Front windshield and the door glass. Everything else is new. All the suspension, the hatch and hood are VIS carbon, Lexan hatch window, RB25, Skyline brakes and LSD, actual JDM M Sport body kit, Kouki blinkers and tails, Apexi PFC, Yashio Factory injectors, Koyo radiator, 19 inch Axis wheels. He//, I give up, I would be here all night if I named everything. Just think of your car stripped to the shell and putting all new parts on it.

If you've invested that much into your car , dont you think you should invest money into a turbo thats not going to fail and make you spend more money to clean it up? Seriously, i would sell that right back, and find something thats balanced well put together and much stronger. Youll be happier with the results.

The reason XS power is in business is becuase chumps keep buying their crap. Not calling you a chump, just most other people.

fellas... i keep sayin this. my cousin and i installed an xs kit t3/t4 on his 89 crx bone stock engine. The turbo and manifold are holding up very well considering the abuse it's been under. It spools at 2800-3000rpm and no boost creep or lag. Also no bracing was used except for the braces installed on the mani by xs themselves. So, the newer kits from 05 on forth are done well. Keep the hope my brother, just run the turbo before you decide to rebuild it.

I still think thats a horrible idea---^

Get the turbo itself sent off to someone who can rebuild and rebalance the turbo.

For one a CRX doesnt put the same amount of HEAT and Exhaust pulse an RB25DET would. So the way it runs on a CRX is completely different. Secondly with the money invested into this car i wouldnt chance it with a cheap highly sourced unreliable turbo by a third party company with a bad rep. ESPECIALLY since its from EBAY, if it was from the manufacturor with a Warranty that'd be different but i doubt thats the case in this scenario.
