Well im giving my car a massive suspension overhaul. Coilovers, tensions, ruca's, toe arm, traction arm, nismo power brace, solid subframe bushings. I will be doing this at work in my free time on saturdays. Right now i only have the coilovers and ruca's. I'm waiting for the other parts to come in. But it will allow the coilovers time to settle between the time the new parts come in. The parts are all from a local guy named patrick who had spec'd them out. The coilovers are very well made from first impression. With 8k front and 6k rear it should give a nice balance between track and streetable. dampers have 32 levels of adjustment and come with all hardware.
The ruca's are extremely beefy as you can see and the heim joint is aluminum. Yes there isnt a ton of articulation. But with a camber arm you dont need it. If your suspension needs 4wd like articulation then something is wrong. The adjustment is also very unique from what i have seen. The heim joint threads into the aluminum sleeve which is rotated from the inside of the arm to adjust camber in and out. while the outside lock nut secures your camber adjustment in place, the third lock nut is for the heim joint itself.
I asked patrick to compare his coilovers to a larger brand for refrence But he couldnt pin one specific coilover that he tried to copy because he has taken so many features from different coils. Strut body is 52mm. Mounts are all aluminum which for comparison saves 17 pounds total compared to megans. He classifies these coilovers as a mid-price level coilover. But They are priced less than megans. I asked him about the consistency of damping between sets and he had his set dyno'ed and all were extremely close to eachother as well as every twist of the knob affected the coilover. Unlike some which can need 5 turns to see a big difference.
Feel free to ask any questions or provide any input good or bad!
