Welcome!! I remember your emails...

you're right. the guides are first on my list then the transmission upgrade. I am still hunting for an ace mechanic to do them (and putting away some $). I would hate to see the motor melt down at such a young age!!

I'm planning on contacting Infiniti this week (didn't get the chance this week). My mechanic gave me a print out of all the recalls and I'm hoping that they were taken care of. If not I'll get the guides done when the recalls get taken care of.

Nice going. Is this the one that was owned by a framer or something?? Maybe it was a state that started with an "M"?

Looks like you have a nice little piece of unadulterated Infinti's history there.

It was traded into Lexus dealer in Conneciticut for a 430. I t was owned by an 80+ yr old man. I spoke to him and confirmed the milage but he was a little uncertain of the exact service records apart from oil changes and tires (he wisely put on snows so I'm set for the winter). I'd like to keep tabs on him and get the 430 in a few years!!

BTW - I was trying to crack the VIN and from what I could find out the last numbers are the production number. Well the last 3 numbers are 080 so I'm figuring this is #80? Also according to the Conn. title he bought it in November of 1990 as a 1991 model. I have the original letter from Infiniti detailing why there are test miles on the car also I have the plastic "oval which holds the original keys.

$8,822.22

After I sold my 1996 Maxima (with 153,000 mi) for $4,000 I figure I'm only into it for 4800. BTW the Max felt like a tin can after driving the Q.
