Been busy lately getting settled in Va. I live in Va Beach but work in Norfolk which is about 28 miles or so. Between gas prices and the traffic I was contemplating moving to Norfolk to be closer to work. I then had the idea about getting an older used Insight or possibly a CRX. The Insight would be good for the gas and allow me to use the HOV lane during peak hours. The CRX would just be better on gas. I then got the idea about a Motorcycle. After searching the last few weeks I found an almost new 2008 FZ6. It has only 2700 miles and has always been garage kept. I got a great deal on it. On to the pics.

Good lookin' bike. I'm currently torn between a sportbike and a Fairlady 1600 Roadster.

Do you have any prior riding experience?

I put the project on hold again. Lol. Used the money to get the bike. But now I will be able to pull the Kouki off the road and do it right and not have to rush it because I need it to get to work. It will take longer to finish the Kouki now but I think it will be less stressful and the end product should be much better.

I use to ride dirt bikes in high school, but have never been on roads. It is quite a bit of fun. Lol. I get 40-50 MPG and it will still do the quarter in less than 12. My bike is considered a sport tourer. Its very comfortable and can be fun in the twisties. It has the same motor as the R6 but is tuned differently to produce more lend oomph and be more streetable. Very good bike to commute and to learn on.

Oh and on the plus side, the guy I bought it from is into working on cars as well. He has a pretty fast Lancer and a 1st gen eclipse track only car. Not a Nissan but at least it is someone else who can actually change their own oil and enjoys cars.

Def Razi. Nothing quite as stressful as using light stands and working late into the night trying to either finish a mod or diagnose a proble becauswe you need the car the next day. I could always drive my burb but I like to reserve that for snow days.

Haha no kidding.

My dad and I worked until 1 or 2 AM to get as much finished since the start of the semester was coming closer and closer.
Thankfully it got finished in time!

Yes. It was the FZ6-N I believe. Also a lot of people strip off the faring and make them into street fighter style. I'll keep mine on for a while at least. Makes the commute much more comfortable.
