I just bought myself a 1990 manual TT yesterday and it's a powerful car but it has its fair of small issues (not to mention a terrible orange paintjob). Now I need to start working on them. A couple of quick things I've noticed are that the car's "door open" light flickers on and off like if the door is loose. I didn't notice this when I test drove it so it might be a new thing. I'm wondering if this door is not lined up properly and if there is something I can do to adjust it?

Also while all of the lights on the car seem to work ok, the "light" dashboard light illuminates when I hold the brake. There are a few other things like its cruise control module is apparently faulty and the right side mirror adjustment is not working but I will look these up myself.

The "light" light indicates that either one of the brake bulbs is out or that you have the wrong bulb (wrong resistance) installed.
The door open light could be coming on because the door switch is loose.
The orange thought not my first choice actually looks pretty decent, at least in the one photo you posted.
Your wheels are backwards.

Oh and of course WELCOME ABOARD!

Welcome!
We have a online service manual (OSM) here on the site that will be your best friend fixing the small issues most Z32's have. It can be found in the "Everything.....Z32" sticky on the top of the main page.
I will also echo the sentiment that although an abnormal color for the Z32, the orange doesn't look bad and you would be very unique with that color of Z32 should you keep it.

Your "door open" lamp can also be caused by the rear hatch latch/sensor.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah the orange is an interesting choice for sure and I would have considered keeping it but it looks like the guy that did it just sprayed right over the original Aztec Red (I can see it in some areas where the paint has chipped) so I'll eventually sand it and spray something different. Thanks for the note about the wheels and I'll dig into those guides
