Ok, well I've been a lurker here long enough, which is surprisingly shorter than my other lurker accounts but whatever. I finally got a day off to take some pics and create a photobucket account. So here it is: Swung it out from my manager for nothing. Thats right FREE Effin FIDDY! and No it wasn't the 5 finger discount. There will be money exchanged later but its a very small amount.

Note the Sweet Tri Spoke "Blades" riding on the spacers of doom. I have a set of stockers that are going on asap. My chrome Fender Flares are pretty sweet too right? right? naw they'll be coming off soon. to be painted and put back.

Secondary hood emblem? Drunk Driving depth perception assister? Who knows? I was told the hood came off a different car.

My Dirty A$$, Missing head bolts, KA. Which will stay......For now. 5 speed To come?

Here's a shot of a coolant bypass hose that has a pin hole leak. I'm in the process of downloading the FSM's Any one wanna save me some looking time? I just need a part number. I can take car of the rest.

The POPS (a little slow but working none the less)

I've Already got some mods

The Peniphant

Pretty Kitty.

Totally Custom Radio. You can't buy it it's so custom

Also I want to disable the shift lock system or what ever the hell it is that requires me to put the car in park, kill it, push the shifter back a 1/4 inch and THEN turn the key all the way back, push the little button to get the key out. Why, Nissan, Why?

Glove Box that has no opener. Any Help here? Don't want to have to break it to get it open.

The Rust? wait what the hell? I live in AZ. Better get the Rust Fix, POR 15 Baby!

Dash quote. Was placed there in Honor of getting me home and simultaneously avoiding getting pinched by phoenix's finest twice. In two Miles.

Well there it is. I've Also done the Door strike latch Ace hardware mod, with great results, needs help on the door panels though. Still need to line up the doors. It needs a p/s rack and pump too, sounds like a Ford Truck when I turn.

Shocks/Struts are shot. esp. in the back. No Rear window, power windows don't work all the time, driver's never works. Drivers door lock cylinder broken. Its gonna be fun. But its still a Great Car, and I've already had a little E-Brake fun. Handles rrrreal goood. It'll be alot of fun when I can have more confidence in it.

ok now let me have it

she's hurt man, I wont lie. But as long as they're all flesh wounds and nothing more, you'll be fine. The good part is I have heard a lot of great things about the Nissan guys in AZ, especially fellow vert owners. Good luck with it, keep us posted! Oh, one other thing, what plans do you have for her?

Cool! Welcome to the fold!

That is definitely a fixer-upper, but very salvageable. Check the sticky with the FAQs and you can find the FSMs there - both for the 240 and the vert supplement.

If this is your first 4-cylinder, I highly recommend that you do more than lurk. Start doing some serious homework. Fortunately, you've landed yourself at the worlds best resource for parts and information for the 240sx convertible - Nico's Vert Forum.

Make sure you get that beast entered into our registry. Thanks for sharing!

Boy, that is the most beat vert I have ever seen. So much so that free was only a decent offer! I expect that vert to be shining by the time I move out to Phoenix. Welcome to the family

Rough is a good word to use for that car.

Fixing that coolant leak will be a bit of a PITA. You won't find a part number for the hose in the servcie manuals. Nissan rarely puts the numbers in their books. I would just pull the intake manifold, and take that hose to your local parts store and find a hose the right diameter to cram on. IIRC, that little hose feeds coolant to the IACV to help regulate idle air temperatures.

You'll need a new bumper cover. Hopefully, it's just heat warping and not the signs of a front impact. However, if you do pull the cover and either the front bumper support is missing or bent to hell, I would highly recommend dragging the car to a frame shop to have it aligned back to square.

If your top is in good shape, you can replace just the window. I know Tops Online offers just the window/drape as well as the whole top. You have to remove so much to get the window, it seems almost pointless not to replace the top at the same time. And I am seeing a lot of dry rot and fading on the top, so it might be in your best interest to replace it all.

As far as the windows not working. Could be a bad motor, bad ground, or bad window amplifier. My money goes on the amp, given that the windows seem to be working intermittenly.

Hijacker-

DUDE! you rock! I work at Checker Auto Parts and I was bangin my head against the wall trying to figure out what that effin hose does. I'm not taking off the manifold, I think i can work around it. Don't have the tools nor the money to replace all that would need to be done. still though I

Thanks for the tip to look at the front bumper guts didn't even notice/care about it.

I'm for replacing the top but in AZ it's kinda a moot point, and it's a vert so I can't keep jack in it anyway so the window being gone reminds me to take my stuff.

Door Panel's are gettin pulled tomorrow, I'll dive in and find out whats the case in there. Plus the tweed is just gross, I'm not in a 76 chevy or something so that'll go.

Dank02seR-It might come up for sale soon.
