my 3rd 240 was a Super HICAS equipped model, so I'm pretty familiar with them. The only way that he might have disabled it and not have the light on is if he bypassed the rear rack and looped the hoses. Then the light wouldn't come on. I've tried countless times to activate the self diagnostic, but it doesn't work. I just jacked up the rear end of the car, supported it with jackstands, started the car, put it in gear, got the car so that it said it was above 30 mph and started turning the wheel. You will see the back wheels move if its working. It's not great for autocross, but it's a blast on the highway and road racing. (like Solo I)
