Thanks Cake, it might be a little longer than two weeks now to put the wheels on the car, my girls chain guides on her maxima just went bad today...If its not one thing its the %^&%$ other.

yeah its lowered on Tein's, but im sure after the wheels are on it will sit like a 4x4. How does 245 35 20 and 275 35 20 sound, their going to be Falken FK452's, hopefully it will still give me that low look.

Falkens are, at best, merely adequate. The tire itself is responsible for 90% of the performance, so don't skimp there.

Be sure the minimum factory load and speed ratings are at least achieved. Another interesting factor is the weight of the tire. If your present tire + wheel combination is 50 lb. and the new one is 55 lb., a 10% increase of rotating unsprung mass has a significant effect on performance.

Should be something like 657 Kg. stamped on the inside.

I look at pictures of your car and it resembles mine lowered with stock rims, but the 275s x10's concern me a little, but I figure as long as you have atleast a 3-4 mm deeper offset than me in the rear you should be fine, otherwise you may have to flip your rear wheel fender a bit. Im running 265sx9.5's

Question: Why do you post with crap a$$ remarks like this? A lot of us take pride in the way our cars look. We all know how you feel and do not need a cruel reminder. Give us custom car guys a break. I aint mad at'cha, but....damn Lighten up.

CakeDaddy,The reason he posts that 'crap a$$ remark' is because the moderators let him get away with it. we -as non-sponsors- are suppose to ignore the insults and just let him act that way. the rally sad part is that I think this exact issue - maxnix make a rude & unifromed comment on a bagged car - has come up in the last month on anothe site.

Honestly, would you and your stupid comments just go away. In the year I have been here I have read over 100 of your posts and not one of them is constructive or has any sort of content that adds to the good of this forum. All you do is post trashing someone for doing something that you don't approve of or agree with. If you want to start your own forum where you complain all the time then do that, MaxnixTheA$$.com is available, I checked, but until then do what your mother obviously never taught you, if you don't have something nice and useful to say, shut it.

Z feel free to edit this as you see according but I would really appreciate if he could be removed or warned from posting in forums unless he has something good to say. This is obviously not the first time he has put his worthless 2 cents into a post he has no business posting in. I am pretty sure he is the least liked person on this site, and Cake is not even a close second.................jk cake <3

I run the same size/offset, springs etc. I would do 275/30/20's in the rear--that is what I have and have zero issues.

About the FALKENS, I run the same tire. Note that I have only clocked a few hundred miles on them, but they feel great and the load index is sufficient. I mean, honestly, I am sure that a set of PS2's would be teh ultimate handling tire!!!!one!!1, but everyone drives differently. I just sort of creep around and don't plan on taking turns at 75mph--the FALKENS have been great for me--so far..........

OK good to know, I have been reading about the falkens and so far so good. How is your drop with the 30 series tires, does it have a big gap between tire and fender.

It doesn't have a big gap to me, but I will also have about 200 lbs of music in the trunk soon. Doesn't really matter anyways--what are we going to do, go with a set of eibachs.? :D There a few pics of mine around here somewhere--without the music, so you can get an idea of how yours will set. Maybe search by my username????

Yeah, the tire flew off the car 5 times already when I was only going 2 miles per hour. Then while turning, the other tires just popped off the bead, but luckily they popped right back on perfectly. I'm going to put some metal chains around them so they won't fall off again.....man I was lucky.....
maxnix wrote:I bet the suspension is wrecked too.
There are no struts on the car....I just welded the rear axle and the front suspension at that height. The car rides really rough without struts, but it's well worth it so I can drive at that height. My next mod is to weld the steering together so the car will only go straight so that I don't rub the front fenders. I'll only be able to go in a straight line, but that's the price you pay.
maxnix wrote:Must handle like snot on a hot skillet.
Actually, as long as I don't go over 5 MPH and I don't make any turns, it rides more like phlegm on a piece of buttered toast.....but without jelly. Well, that's VIP..... ......
