im gonna skip all the long babbling about my research and just get to the nitty gritty!!

i just finished installing new brake pads and rotors onto my 07 3.5SE Altima Sedan. the front rotors are Rotora Crossed Drilled & Slotted made for the 07+ altimas, which i paired with Hawk HP Plus Race Pads from the 02-06 Altimas/03-05 Z's. out in the back i kept the stock rotors and paired those with Hawk HPS Street Pads from 02-06 altimas/03-05 Z's. everything fit up perfectly just as i thought it would! the stopping power from this new setup is phenomenal, i would say 100 times better than OEM, and they still have to be broken in! oh and btw, one thing to note...the rotors that i put on are .04" thinner than OEM, and the front brake pads are 2mm smaller than OEM as well, leading me to the conclusion that i have the exact same setup that a 350Z/Altima would have!

i believe with this new setup that i have introduced, i have opened up more possibilities for our cars. possibilities for brakes just went from nothing at all, to a whole new world...im pretty sure any brakes from a 03-05 base 350z would fit on our cars.

if anyone is looking to inquire about new brakes, and not get mysterious brakes from ebay, hit up my boy Garret from World One Performance in WA and he will give you guys a really good deal, just tell him Andrew from oCc sent you.

once again that is Garret @ World One Performance - 206.938.7975 - give them a call and he will get you the best price you can find.

on to the pics

this is they came

what you know about those BRICKS??!?!?!!?

26k mile wheels never looked so clean!

here are some random shots of my car

custom exhaust!!

perfect color matched grille!

re-wired fogs w/parking lights

my final thoughts on this setup...WOW! a great improvement over stock. i expected the race pads to be loud and annoying, but they arent, and they do not fade at all, and the more you push the pedal the harder they bite and it has consistent grip!

Nice sexy rotors. Should have gone the whole nine yards though and installed all new SS lines and painted the calipers. You think the stopping is great now, wait till you replace the OEM hoses with the SS. bye bye brake fade and spongy feeling

as of right now, i do not believe that anyone makes rear rotors for the 07+ altimas but however...our rear rotor size is the same as the previous altimas so whatever aftermarket rotors made for those should fit on ours. i think when i need to get rear rotors i will get ones made for the 03-05 350z's since those are vented, and should fit up perfect with my current setup.

oh and about the foglight re-wire...everything can be done in the fuse box, but it will be too hard for me to make you understand through words, so i will try and take pictures and make a write-up for you all tomorrow after i leave school. its not too hard, it only takes 15 minutes.

Very nice! The stock braking is a little iffy in my opinion, looks like this is a nice fix

1 week and 400 miles on the new brakes, and they are broken in perfectly.

there is no sudden initial bite, like the stock ones, but once you apply more pressure the nose just starts to plunge into the pavement.

I LOVE THIS NEW SETUP!!

I have used Hawk Hps pads in the past and they work very well...even better when warmed up.

Why did you go with different pads for front and rear? one set is going to bite harder and one is going to wear faster than the other. Not to mention one pair will / could bite / lockup faster leaving you without the full power of the breaking system.

I want to change my rotors and pads out also for something more grippy like i said i had the hps in the past and they are great untill about 20k and then they stop biting hard especially when they are not warmed up. I guess it wouldn't be that big of a deal to change the pads every 15-20k it only takes 15 min a side.

For the fronts can u just use a c-clamp to push the caliper back in and for the rear is there a special tool or can u just push that one back also with a c-clamp?

wait a second...did you put cardboard inbetween the back of the pad against the caliper? it sure looks like you did...please tell me differently.

the reason i chose different pads for the front and rear is because, since it is a FWD car, there is more weight biased to the front, along with braking pressure since the front calipers are higher volume. so it makes sense to put the track pads in front and the street pads in the back since the rear wont be used as much as the front.

and i know one will wear quicker, trust me, i have done my research and have been racing and modding my cars for years so its not a first time for me, i know what im doing, but if you want anything cleared up you have the right to ask, ill do my best to answer in a way to help you understand better.

it all depends on how you drive on which pads to choose. im usually on the hwy so im at speeds of 65+ everyday so i need to slow down...fast sometimes, so thats why i went with the HP plus, and also because i like to go to the track.

both the front and rear could be pushed out with a c clamp, which surprised me, because i thought i would need that special little bit, but it turns out i didnt.

and no i didnt put a piece of cardboard behind the pad. thats just ridiculous to do, and i feel offended by you saying that lol! but yea, i took the backing plate from the back of the stock pads and put them on the back of the hawks.

and my exhaust is a custom setup. i had mild steel welded up to some 3in mufflers that i bought. they are GReddy SP Replicas, but the are made by Forza Tuning and its called the Sportza...some ghetto ****, but they sound mad good, and i got both of them for $130.

and i will try to get some pictures of my foglight rewire...i swear to god it will only take you 15 minutes to do.
