Hi guysI'm new to this forum and just wanted to say hi.

I just bought an S15 clip and wanted to get some ideas on how to do the best swap possible.

Does anyone have some suggestions on how to set up the speed sensor on the rear differential and get the speedometer working on a S14 chassis?

Also what is the best way to hook up the dash loom to the ecu? I might just go ahead and replace the S14 dash loom with the one from the S15. It is a lot of work but then again I should be able to use the electronic environment controls that way. Any suggestions?

Here is a pic of the clip.oops! how do you attach photos here?Sorry, email if you'd like to see a pict.

When I was at Phase2, they had an S14 in the lot with an S15 engine and transmission swap. It might be worth while emailing [email protected] to see if they can help you with your specific questions.

I got the clip from a Japanese guy in Torrance CA. He has done a few of these swaps already and had this extra one to sell. I paid $4500 for everything. He even had the door panels and stock wheels. This clip has only 15,000 miles on it His name is Tom, give him a call and see if he has anothe one. 310-462-9836.

There was another guy in Temple city with a clip for the same price buy he wanted to charge me sales tax so I went with Tom.

The guy in Temple city is David. 714-713-1749.

Phax, are you talking about the blue coupe with the widebody fenders and quarter panels? That was an S13! I couldn't believe that when I saw it either. They said that they didn't realize it was an S15 engine until they put it in gear, and found an extra gear where reverse was supposed to be.

EDIT: I remember those pictures from somewhere. Was that clip on eBay? I remember because the clip had the doors attached to it still.

Tom said that he originally bought the clip for himself in Japan and wanted to use the fenders hood and doors. The shipping guys were not very careful and banged the heck out of it. I dont think these parts are very usefull anymore.

Is this the Tom, who has white S13 and a nice S14 with S15 conversion?

He also has as S14 with a S15 engine and S15 front end.

Actually, the one front light you see in the picture was taken off and not in the package. As far as the bumper goes, I'll have to wait to decide what I want to do in the long run. Shoot me an email and I'll let you know if I decide not to use it.
