Note the time stamp. All is well.
Here's the details:I rented a movie called Nurse Betty about a bored Kansas housewife who was looking for something "special" in her life. Well, to her driving the LeSabre was something special. And this model looked like a 95 or so.
I wanted something equally mundane but realistic enough to believe for my prank, so I went to eBay, found an 03 LeSabre, and strategically chose pictures that didnt reveal the dealer name and showed the car in excellent condition.
Additionally, I chose a completed auction, in case someone started thinking along my tracks and decided to see if I acquired the photos that way... I figured they'd be less likely to dig further into completed auctions.
Its a 2001 that looks just new enough to pass for 11k on the odometer.

Then, I went to the Missouri Department of Revenue's web site to use the vanity license plate generator to add a touch of enthusiasm.
The story I thought was pretty good. I mean no one would believe me if I said outright I went and got a LeSabre, so I injected some parental reasoning and my broke-as-****-college-kid finances into it to make things sound more credible. I also headed over to Buick's web site to learn about specifically termed features like the Concert Sound II six-speaker system, and made sure OnStar was an option on the LeSabre.
I grabbed a Buick logo for my avatar from Google Images.
My only concern really was Wes, who knows I'd go a LOOOONG way for a good joke. So I tried to stay off AIM as much as I could, but then Nick IMed me and I knew I was cornered.
The best part though, was that I got Wes to think, perhaps even for one SECOND, that I ditched the Q for a LeSabre. Friggin PRICELESS!!!!
Happy April Fools Day.

(Besides, if I actually got a Buick, it would be a Regal GS with Joseph Abboud interior trimmings.)
