Nice!

I'm always tempted to buy an NRG wheel and hub, but the simplicity of my oem silvia wheel looks so good.

so lately ive been going through the car and getting rid of certain parts i dont like, so i started with the cx racing turbo outlet and the top fuel downpipe that came with the car. i also wanted to replace my cmc, and slave cyl and while im at it get rid of the cluth damper. i also wanted a adjustable WG actuator so i can ditch the current actuator which the rod had to be cut and extended while tuning.

heres the list
new CMC
new Slave cylinder
Agency Power auto to manual clutch line (runs from cmc straight to slave cyl)

Megan Racing Stainless SR20DET 70mm Downpipe
Megan Racing Turbo Outlet
Megan Racing Stainless Test Pipe 3"

HKS WG actuator

i should have everything on the car within a week or so

well i got everything installed and am very happy with the results

the cmc, slave cyl and clutch line feel great, its nice knowing that all this crap (hardlines and damper) is no longer in use :)

Image

the wastegate actuator was a major improvement, the old wastegate rod had to be cut and extended while it was being tuned to eliminate the boost creep we encountered. when i took off the old wastegate i noticed there was barely any tension on the flapper, causing air to leak out, so the adjustable rod was a major improvement and i now see full boost 750-1000rpm sooner :dblthumb:

the exhaust pieces also turned out great, much better than the old setup

i also picked up a new ignition switch, my old switch was all hacked up from the previous owner and the alarm they attempted to install correctly and failed...

but ive setup a dyno session with a local shop, see what i make at my high boost setting (20psi on 93oct)...

ill post the sheet and some videos as well... but with the temps in the 100+ and high humidity, it might be a few weeks... d@mn midwest...

Well its been forever since ive updated this thread

Ive been super busy as I just bought a new house... so that was stressful but were all settled the 240 once again has its own garage space before the winter season comes :)

since the last update my hks bov started to compressor surge at low boost, all said the hks ssqv has been my least favorite of all the bov's ive used on this and all my previous cars... so i found a buddy who wanted it and just bought new one..

i went with the syanpse synchronic.. the engineering behind the bov is interesting, so i thought id give it a shot

Image

it is also time to replace my worn tie rods, so i picked up a set of tein inner/outer rods

Image

thats all for now, ill throw some pics up of them installed and maybe a bov review/video :)

Well time for another update..

picked up a new FMIC kit, it was time i updated with a larger core... the old core was tiny, which was great for the t25... not so much for the 2871 @ 20psi... also good to get new silicone couplers and new t-bolt clamps

mounted up

i still need to throw on the tein tie rods, but with work and family time... car time has been minimal lately :frown:

im taking it out later and will snap some more pics

Nice build. My setup is very similar to yours. Was wondering what kinda of clutch you are using? i'm putting together the motor and need a good clutch

Haha, yeah I'm sure you're not getting too much traction anymore.

I've got just about the same setup as you, give or take a little (18psi) and I can roast my 275/45s in the back.

It's quite addicting isn't it? :gapteeth:

hey john why not get an act clutch they work great.

lol i can fit my 275s under my fenders, so i am dropping down to a 235 should handle better but with my new power level i doubt i will have much traction. time to bust out avcr setting for boost in each gear and not have full boost hit tell 4th

Im using the Stage 2 Competition Clutch

Ive used Competition Clutches in all my cars and have never been disapointed :bigthumb:

But if i was to buy another clutch now, i would go with a slightly heavier duty clutch

Is your stage 2 slipping at all and hows the pedal feel. I'm thinking of getting stage 3 or Act clutch. MY motor is tuned for 320whp and 280trouqe at 16psi

The stage 2 still grabs, but i would recomend the stage 3, its what i would get whenever i need a new clutch, and were putting down around the same numbers
