clown remember what i said.. i think the backlights are surface mounted leds, you got the solder ready??

Or are you just changing the "orange ring" around the speedos...

gl with that....i heard that the LED's behind the cluster are those little tiny ones that look like little square pieces of paper that are soldered on

dude when we spoke about this i told you they were SMTs.. there should be like... sheit... 100-150 int he whole dash... and you should get them from a quality place (this IS NOT the type of mod you want to have to re-do or fix).

IDK mikey...

By failing to plan, you plan to fail...

Why not work on installing that (secret) thats in your garage, using the part from your old car? (jedi talk)

If you go to this link....http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/349685......i did a write up on this a couple months back and honestly I'm regretting it. The reason is that once I touched the needles and move them by hand, they don't stay in place once I turn off the car.....after a couple minutes, they sag down past the points they should be and never go up to the correct level once the car is turned on......Unless I have a one of a kind issue with this, you will more than likely experience this problem too.

i like the red needles, it's the orange around the edges i hate. so if someone didnt mess with the needles and just messed with the orange on the outer part, they wouldnt have issues?

Nope....I left the glass of the cluster so I can adjust it by hand before starting the car up

To get rid of the orange part, you have to remove the plastic bezel like in the first picture and it's almost impossible not to touch or move the needles. I'll take a pic tomorrow of what my gauges look like before I adjust them.

that pic was so sexy i had to put it as my desktop background...... only thing i wish was different was that the screen was a little more blueish (looks like the little screen where the MPG goes isn't as bright as everything else) and the 6k to 8k RPM range could stay red.... that would make it perfect

Who is this guy that does this? Can he do more of them for us who want it done? If yes to both of these....how much would it cost?
