Car: duh!!!!

Post

Alright, i am expecting to be back in the states no later than August. Hopefully this will still be what i am saying by the time august rolls around. After spending two years overseas, carless(i got rid of my last car before i left the states) trying to think of which car i would be purchasing when i get back to the states, i have finally settled on the 240SX. Of course the normal 240 is just not powerful enough for me, so i am planning on the sr20 swap. I have already found a couple of different places where i can get the engine. And i am starting now so that i have the whole 5 months to find the perfect 95 240. Now the fun part. I wanna S15 SR20 engine, and i am looking for any and all information that anyone can give me on performing this swap. I have gathered alot from the internet, but decided that i would ask the people who really know about the car. I have already read the SR20DET faq, and found some of the information useful, and now i am asking for everyone of you out there to share whatever knowledge you can with me. Anything you know about the S15 swap, i wanna know about it. Thanks all.

Oh yeah, and HI. This is my first post.

hi this is like my 6th post (maybe less) but i've done a lot of research and i know that the S15 engine is by far the hardest, most complicated, and costly engine to swap in, go with an S14 SR, you'll be good

You're going to buy a 240 then perform a S15 swap into it? Rome wasn't built over night, why don't you just plan one thing at a time. Get the car first, then worry about the upgrades later. I doubt you'll be able to find a clean, well maintained 240 nowadays. Too damn hard to find.

Besides, if you're going with a S15 swap, why not just go with a R35 motor?

Well, i wasnt really ready for critisism. All i wanted was any information that any of you could share. I'm not a kid trying to plan the car daddy's gonna buy me. I make over 60 thousand a year, tax free. I know what i want, and i can assure you that i have already looked into it enough to know what its going to take. I know people who have more knoledge of cars in their little finger than most of the mechanics that you take your car to when it dont run right. Now, if you have some information you would like to share, that would be great, if not, then dont!!!
