I just recently bought an 87 300zx Turbo. Got it off the original owner and have all the records of maintenance performed. Has a few little probs here and there, but over all is very straight. I plan on bringing it back up to factory condition, I don't want to mod it out. One of my wheels is cracked so it has one stock wheel on it for now. The exhaust manifolds are leaking and it has a few little oil leaks. If anyone know where i can find aftermarket headers please leave a link or something. I've been searching around but have been coming up empty. Anyway, just wanted to share, and introduce myself to the Z people.
I got new seat covers, they are all black and look a lot better.
It has the digital dash, the coolant temp side doesn't work. I think i may just install an aftermarket temp gauge.
Has some little probs, like the manifolds leaking and oil leaks. Overall it idles good and pulls strong. Does smoke a little under hard acceleration and at start up in the morning. I do plan on fixing all the leaks and would like to replace the valve seals. The car does have high mileage, but the orig owner did a good job of doing all major service.
Anyway there it is, needs some TLC but over all I'm very happy with it.
