I am so gung-ho about this car!

I been admiring 7th Generation Maximas for a while now.
Mostly from afar though...

Finally was the right time to buy one.
It doesnt have leather or Nav, but I dont mind.
It is not loaded with a lot of options so I dont get Nav and heated seats.

What I do get, is the fundmental 7th Gen Maxima goodness with only 19,000 miles!!!!
I have not owned a car this close to brand new in a few years!!!

Gushing Review:

1) Drives smooth and with authority , feels like a true luxury car not just "near luxury", feels a lot like the brand new M's I drove at Nationwide Infiniti.

2) In interior is roomy and well thought out and in fantastic shape.
Just gorgous layout great ergonomics, just perfect for a minimalist like me.

3) Handles great for it's size, High speed lane changes or speed bursts from 70-90 are handled with contemptous aplomb.

4) Feels like I am driving a new Infiniti!

5) The car just wants to storm along the hiway.. its hard to keep the foot off the throttle!

6) The interior of the car exudes a vibe that is half 1960's Mercedes S-Class and half 1st gen Infiniti Q45.
This my friends is not a bad thing

What's in store for my A35?

A) Tomorrow morning I will baster out a quart of coolant. add a botttle of Redline Wetter Water and top off with distilled water to the cooling system.
The RWW will reduce caviation at the water pump and imrpove surface area at the cooling fins, making for better coolant flow and heat transfer. The slightly thinned out mix will also have a somewhat improved heat capacity.

This should help keep coolant temps low and assist the trannys longevity (transmission is usually connected to radiator temps via a heat exchanger)

B) My next "mod" is to always gas up with 93 Octane.

The combination of A and B should enable the ECU to stay in its "Happy Map" as much as possible, which makes more power.

C) As soon as the brakes need replacing I will add steel braided brake lines and MOTUL 600 brake fluid in combination with Hawk performance pads.

A,B,C are minimum effort "mods" that will give some tangible benefit for this car and will not endanger my still-in-effect power train warranty.

I already did the turtle wax "Ice" interior treatment earlier today. But since the car is so new, its effect was almost imperceptible.
Also already added a 20 oz bottle of techron fuel system cleaner since a low mile car like this will have been inactive at some times, in its 3 yr life.

Love the CVT!
Got 27 mpg on hiway in thick(ish) traffic.

Seems to pull pretty nice too.
I hear the CVT will dampen the throttle is it sees too much power to protect itself.

So probaly not gonna mod for extra power.

But am veyr happy w/ the car.
It appears near enw and i paid very little considering how much car it is.
(of course is is stripped and it does have a couple minor dings but it is affordable to me..)

Andy, sorry it took me so long to reply.. I think I will leave it stock for now or maybe paint the wheels and lower it just a tad.

Once the brakes need replacing I might go with a Stillen brake kit.. not sure yet .. :)

On the other hand the compressor on my Z33 needs a rebuild so I may prioritize
