I have put up the LED mirror casing at back as while as comparing the folding motor's to OEM's. I'll post the comparison later, but right now I am stuck at the part where I have to remove the PIN from the wires so I can get the harness out. This is where I have spend most of time doing without proper tools. I hate it

Day 2:

I gave up with the un-pin the plug, so I do the short-cut way (cut with a wire cutter) and carry on with the work. Then I get to remove the mirror and the strut part that does the folding mechanism. Left is the folding motor. Right is original turning strut.

Fits nicely inside

putting stuff back together

cable pulling

more cable pulling (notice I cut the white plug)

almost done

on car

left - no led / right - led with folding motor

It seems finished, but it really hasn't. Once I get the wiresfix first I will start be doing the passenger side. Then eventually the main eletrical work under the panels.

Car: 2010 Nissan Rogue SL AWD Carbon Silver Black/Blue Cloth

Post

I realize that this thread has not been visited for a while, but I am quite interested in doing this mod to my 2010 SL AWD (K51 Carbon Silver / Gotham Gray). I am interested in how many people followed through and if the modification for just the LED mirror covers was easy.

Others have used the eBay option with the 3M adhesive, but I am looking for a more permanent (and IMO aesthetically pleasing) option. I found these online http://www.autosignalparts.com/nissan-r ... aeeec.html, but they seem to be a fishy operation. I would much rather use a proven source. If anyone can point me in the direction of this supplier I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

So far I have not seen another source for these parts here in North America. So you have basically 2 options:

1) Contact insomnia816 to see if he can order the parts for you. He was importing these parts from overseas.

2) Take your chances on eBay.

Hi Insomnia.

I like what you did with those mirrors..LOVE THEM...Specially the folding mirrors....wicked....

I was wondering how could i get a hold of both the mirror covers with LED and the Mirror motors...

Please advise... Thank you...

Hello,

I'm new in this forum and I'm really interested on this mod so I would like to know if the LED side mirror cover is still available from insomnia816. I got a nissan rogue 2011 SV Indigo Blue.

Count me in as well.

The wife saw some autofolding mirrors on a car next to her in a Home Depot parking lot, and now I'm trying to find if there's a JC Whitney or Nissan overseas version with the LED's in front and back and the camera, as well...
