I made this website with some pictures of my car so go there and look, I will have more once the snow disappears. I will try and take some pics with it next to the BMW 328is and the Qx4.

Congrats Impele!

Almost makes me wish I had <gasp> listened to my mother </gasp> and waited a few months before getting my car.

But you know, when you want something, sometimes you toss logic out the window...

Congrats on the G! Have fun with it.

ah man. tough call now. after reading that breaking in thread i don't know if to run new cars hard for a bit or do what most do and run it slow and easy for the first few thousand...

Well i decided to just go with the owners manual with the break in schedule. Nothing over 4000 rpm's for first 1200 miles, i might not be able to last that long, car only has 108 miles and i want to try it out but i will wait we will see for how long though.

Avoid extremes of operation. Don't run when cold, nor of course, overheated. Don't run at full throttle nor constant rpm. Don't over rev nor lug the engine.

Good test to see if you are mature enough to appreciate the long term view.

Do change the oil early at about 500-800 miles. Good time to change to synthetic if you want the car to last through college, say 5 years, in as new condition as far as the motor goes.

Through College? Boy do times change. My college vehicle was an '87 Olds Delta 88!

More power to you if can roll like that in college!

you are lucky!!! I love the swooping hood on the front. Pure fun!

Hey, please do something about the photographs. The car doesn't look at new as it says on the text "jan 21". Please clean those dirt and take good pictures.

Congratulations on the new addition. Have great fun and drive safely.

Also, on the break-in oil change: I beg to differ on that that the oil should be changed after the 1200 mile stipulation. Also, don't switch to synthetics until 3/4thousand miles as natural mineral oil (what you currently have) are better for initial break-in than synthetic oil.

Even after you switch to synthetic, keep the same oil change interval as the manufacturer suggests. You might already know all this, just my 2 cents.

eeks, don't know how I wrote those confusing sentences.

I wanted to say that,1st oil change should be done after the break-in miles, in this case 1200. Not at 600/800miles as maxnix suggests. You can get all the grime/dirt out by 1200. Otherwise, I guess you have to do 2 oil changes, one at 800 and the other at 1200/1500 miles.

I'll try and clean it when i get the chance but we still have 4 inches of snow on the ground here so i can't wash it any where. It only has 108 miles on it and the day i got it, it was raining. I haven't had very good luck but i haven't taken it out in the snow maybe in the next couple days i will get some more pics.

Congrats Impele and good luck - very nice. As far as the oil goes, i've always changed my oil and filter every 3k miles (what my father taught me growing up) and i've never had any problem with any of my cars, nor has my father - Castrol. Although I do change the oil every 5k in my 2001 MDX - much to my fathers dismay....Oh yeah, you better keep that G clean...too pretty not to...
