Congrats on the new car. I made the mistake of buying an Olds Aurora from my dad at a very good price (the main reason I did it) after my 93 was totaled in an accident. I couldn' t find any good Q45s locally, and I needed a car ASAP. I felt like I was in purgatory until I finally got rid of it and bought my 95. That car was a rolling example of why GM is in serious trouble. It felt like driving a barge compared to a Q45 even though they are similar in size/weight. In 18 months of ownership, the fuel pressure regulator, alternator, A/C, sunroof, rear window defogger, wheel bearing, turn signals and other things I'm thankfully forgetting broke. Thankfully I fixed just about everything myself, or I'd probably still be paying off the repairs. The Aurora forum on Edmunds is a textbook example of denial. "Our cars are constantly broken, but they're really better than the Japanese competition" "The magazines are just biased against American cars." etc. The woman at the insurance company couldn't understand why I wasn't excited about the prospect of having it totalled and getting to buy a new car. If you can get them, and the interior color is the same, grab the front seats out of your old car. The front seats in the 94+ cars aren't nearly as nice.
