so i bought a s13 with sr20det swap not too long ago and heres what its got on it.
im used to hondas so youll have to excuse my noobiness as 240s seem to be quite different but anyhoo

6.waiting for carpet to cover wires and put some new seats in / belts. the autos were removed so theres no airbags or shoulder strap so i ordered some 4points

7.i need a new center console, how hard / inconvient would it be to have the ebrake on the right side? i want a carbon console but can only find rhd ones. i have the deck that goes in there, and i need a new dash, shift knob, short shifter blah blah blah. i did order a new lower boot and ring so that will be nice.

10.s*** wheels and 4 lug hub= awful. once its through emissions and whatnot we upgrade to 5lug and cop bbks for front and back with some new wheels and a fender roll. suspension comes along with that so im going to begin peicing all that together, can anyone explain what are ALL THE PARTS to build a s13 hatch suspension? i have coils and some rods already so what else? it all need to be fully adjustable, i just need to knw what all the parts are as my other car doesnt need to much to do it.

11.trunk latch is weird you have to pull it, lift trunk, and then push that handle down to reclose trunk, how do i fix this?

12.im moving those gauges to the pillar, and am replacing the buttons, button trim and column with carbon fiber, then i will do a custom defi gague cluster. because i HATE this speedo, s*** will an s15 one fit?

this car runs rich as hell and im not thinking im going to make it through emissions because it doesnt have a cat for starters. so im going to be buying a 3inch high flow cat. now
i have a downpipe that id assume will fit due to the custom exhaust, but i dont know if theres a place to bolt in the cat because its custom and does not have one. so i think i need a cheap temp catback to get me through emissions. any other ideas as well as how to get it to pass?

also, my power steering isnt working for some reason, everythings there but i dont know why it doesnt work. any ideas? the prior owner said something about the o2 housing being in the way? this confused me, any advice will help.

also, i have the t28 turbo. can anyone link me to cheap temp manifolds headers etc for my car? i looked but am not sure what bolts up to the turbo.

also, its a hatch and fully gutted. i spent the past week preparing the interior and i finaly painted it, but now im wondering if anyone can tell me the part number for the panel that goes in the BACK LEFT (Driver) corner?

byond that i cant thiink of too much more
ill update this thread soon with pics as teh build continues and more questions as they come to me

also if anytihng listed sucks a**, let me know so i can replace it

Ok, most of you stuff you can find in the part section here, zilvia, or on Ebay if you want some cheap(er) stuff. The richness might be from the ECU not being flashed/tuned for a Z32 maf, or any number of other small issues like timing etc. I would look into the MAF first.

I have an ebay exhaust with a 3" hi flow cat from enjuku. It's has lasted me well over a year and all I did to help was coat it with VHT flame proof to keep it from rusting as the cheap stainless systems are notorius for rusting through (like the one I had before.) It's a cheap fix, but I got no complaints.

I'm sure some of the other guys here that live in those crazy emission states will chime in to help more, and good luck!
There's supposedly stuff you can put in you gas to help pass emissions, but I'm from a state that doesn't have those laws other than a cat if it came factory. ;)

well i live in arizona, the outlaw state lol
so out emissions arent really strict at all, you think i can slink by with a cat?
and i should have it tuned as well?

where can i get a manifold that fits my t28 turbo and whatnot, i searched, but they dont specify if its for t25 or 28
im looking in the ballpark for roughlky 200 per manifold (intake exhaust header blah blah blah)

and what about the power steering issue?

If your looking for cheap just get a stock manifold, gasket match it, and call it good. If your talking about the 2 stock turbos T25 and T28 they have the same flange. So any mani/header for the sr20 should work.

As far as tuning goes. I prefer a professional tuning service like jim wolf or enthalpy to an aftermarket AFC. If the motor has already been rebuilt with forged components why start being cheap now? You will get better performance, less headache, and more reliability... Especially if you don't know anything about tuning, like myself. You could resell that S-AFC and harness on ebay and recoup part of the tuning/chip cost.

and i just know someone and thats how i pass the emmisions. as long as its before 95 we can rig it

Ok, the piping can be replaced via any of the usual distributors or ebay. The cheap ebay stuff via cxracing seems to fit good on my eclipse gsx.

I bigger higher turbo? Your probably thinking about a topmount and that starts getting expensive. The GT2871R is a good choice.

A polished manifold? Try searching and you can find some decent ones around $200 like the isis one on enjuku.

The Pull/Push trunk and gas release is normal and doesn't need "fixed"

The hi-flow cat goes after the down pipe and before the rest of the exhaust. Thus most exhaust being called a cat-back-exhaust is from it fitting from the cat back to the rear.

Try searching with google and the forum search options. There a hundreds of build threads and DIY's on everything relating to the 240sx. :dblthumb:

Anyways good luck with your car it looks like it has potential!

so whats all this im reading about the safc-2?
its s***? should i replace that with somehthing else?
or whats the deal with that? can i just take it off?
