Car: 1991 Nissan 300ZX NA 2+2

Post

Hey guys! I recently bought a white 1991 Nissan 300ZX NA 2+2 from CL. The car is in fantastic condition. All it needs is the steering to be realigned, (It's slightly to the left) part of the front bumper to be painted, and the Pioneer head unit to be finished installing. It has about 98k miles. So far, I love it. Quite an amazing ride. I just joined Nicoclub, and I don't know how to attach a picture of it. But I thought I'd see what tips and tricks everyone in the Z32 community has for me. Thanks!

In order to post pictures you will have to upload your picture to a photo hosting site similar to this one http://postimage.org/

Select the image from your gallery, and have the website convert it into Forum Format. The site shown above will even automatically include the "IMG" tag so the forum will recognize it as a picture, so all you need to do is copy and paste!

If you are having trouble with picture uploading, I believe there is a topic about it on the main Nissan page of this Forum.

Welcome to the forum! Good Luck with your repairs!

Welcome to the world of frustrating love!!!
Familiarize yourself with the tech pages on this website they will come in handy if you plan on working on the vehicle yourself, (which I highly recommend as few shops know the cars very well and don't understand just how everything is tied together).
Glad to see someone take the plunge and keep another on the road.

Welcome!
Looks like our members have you pointed in the right direction, I'll add that maintenance is premium on our old ladies so be ready to be busy with that if you are intending to use the car a lot or have it for a long time.
Corrosion issues and engine controls go hand in hand so be ready to deal with that, plus the fuel injectors/harness/connectors and other connectors. A thorough inspection of the engine and cooling system is advised.
Brake upgrades go a long way towards long term happiness, as well as looking over the clutch controls for any wear tear and replacing as necessary with upgraded internal components (lever and pivot) if possible. Stay away from 6-puck clutches and stay organic, and look for a local custom exhaust solution over the aftermarket or OEM solutions due to cost and performance.
Otherwise ALWAYS use OEM if possible unless noted otherwise as above, and be advised that Z-1 and Concept Z Performance are excellent choices for repair need parts and that our other vendors here are well respected and have excellent aftermarket parts for custom needs.
Good Luck and enjoy your Z!
