Car: 93 240 Black Hatch

Post

So i finally purchased a 240sx. Its a 93 black hatch, and is in pretty good condition other then a few things. There's a dent on the driver side fender, the wing is 1/2 coming off, and the sunroof weatherstrip is torn/handle is broken and some other things. It also has the infamous DOHC rattle can noise. I bought the car about a week ago, and have already taken the handle for the sunroof off to look for one at a junkyard, i repainted the valve cover while i took it off to take the upper timing chain guide off, and i also took the spoiler off. I still have a few problems, that i was wondering if people could help me with. Is the clock under the tach suppose to always stay on, im guessing not, and that's why my car keeps going dead. My EGI relay keeps turning on and off even when the key is out of the car, do i need the EGI? I took the Upper Timing chain guide off and it still has the rattle can noise, my uncle wants me to check the oil pressure, i know i have to go to the sending unit and tap into that to get a gauge there, but how do i take it off? Lastly, if i have oil pressure i just take the chain guide thats on the driver side of the timing chain off? or do i have to keep that one there? Thanks for all the help.

I paid 1500$ for it, but I've been searching for it for about 2-3months. What's funny is, it was literally down my block the entire time, just in a garage and I never saw it

I have an identical dent on mine in the same spot... Odd. Either way, yeah, the clock stays on.
