I'm new to the 240 forums and figured I'd post my new ride. I'll be picking it up tonight. These few pics are from the Craigslist ad. I'll get some more tomorrow after I get it all cleaned up!

Yeah, being in Florida is pretty nice. There's no rust on the car. Now it's time to start looking for some new rims/tires.

Just got it home a while ago. It's so fun to drive! And I've really got no idea what's up with the tires. They'll be gone soon enough!

As far as plans go, just wheels/tires and probably a brake upgrade for now. I can't go to crazy for a while. Hopefully a turbo down the road.

Idk what your preferences for tires are but if you're getting rims, these are the only way to go.

Welcome to NICO.

ive seen tires that look like that, if you use that tire shine crap. it discolors the tires. but your car looks pretty nice, what are your plans besides wheels and tires?

There's so much I want to do, I feel a little overwhelmed. It already has strut and sway bars, lsd, ported and polished head, Injen intake, exhaust, and Tein coilovers. So it's probably going to be cosmetic changes for a while.

I'll probably be getting a short throw shifter soon. I see that people recommend the B&M, but that's a bit pricey. I guess you get what you pay for!

Big thumbs down. The engine block is painted the same lime green.

I went out and took some pictures just a while ago. The sun wasn't on my side, but here she is. The interior pictures came out like garbage so I didn't put any up.

hate to tell ya but i think that guy lied to you or didn't know what he was talking about. Those aren't coilovers on there. Looks pretty clean though, give it a good wash and clean up the engine bay a little too and it will look nicer. How much you pick it up for?

Yeah, my bad. I meant springs.

I been looking through all kinds of wheel/tire threads and my head is about to explode. I don't want to roll my fenders, so does anybody have a recommendation as to a good setup? Please don't say "search" because I've been doing that all day. Just looking for a friendly suggestion!

And I picked it up for $1800.

Nice find, tho i think you may have been able to chew him down a bit more on price.

As long as you are happy with the purchase that is all that matters.

Welcome to the club, i can tell you are excited. But remember to look into and research things before just out right buying them. Have Fun!

One Love,

Ghasty

EDIT: you know i have never noticed mud flaps before, or whatever they might be called. They look pretty cool.

I'd think about working on your suspension before getting new wheels... at least a set of coilovers. You're gonna get new wheels and say Damn I got to lower this thing... You can always get wheels the choices are no limit.
