Well I finally got my 240 after waiting almost a month until I had the free time to get it. I drove 6 hours from Rochester, NY to Westminster, MD (from my college to my home) to get the car and drop off my Talon. Then I drove 6 hours back Saturday morning to work on a friend's Eclipse GSX all weekend. I've had a few crazy days.

Anyway, I'm really happy with the car. It has the normal dings as any car with 69k miles, but overall I am really happy with the shape of the body. The only bad flaws are a dent on the front of the hood and some scratches on the front bumper from what appears to be a mild collision, and there is a little ripple in the rear bumper from backing into something. Both are not too bad, and will be fixed by a new hood/bumpers and paint job later on anyway.

Here are the pics:

The Service Engine Soon light came on after filling the car up with gas. It ended up being a fuel metering code and some other OBDII bullcrap. Not the biggest concern, but still annoying. Anyone come across that before?

As for plans for the car, I will not rest until an RB26 sits under the hood. People can doubt me all they want, but after seeing pics of my Talon I would hope those doubts would fade. When I want something, I usually figure out a way to make it work :)Other than the 26, I want a CF hood, larger wheels, maybe a small lip spoiler, and a full Tein coil-over suspension. Then I will be happy. For now.

Nice find. Those rims are super rare. Same ones found on 1999+ Infiniti G20s and I'm pretty sure theyre the same ones found on 1996.5+ 180SX's ("kouki" models).

Thanks guys :)

As for those rims being rare... I would assume the whole car is rare since I basically never see them on the road. Does anyone know how many 98's were brought to the US?

The car handles really well, especially considering it is on 15" wheels and HUGE sidewalls. I do love it though, it's exactly what I wanted. (though a sunroof would have been nice) :)

Well the 240 only cost $6,400 so it wasn't exactly a bank breaker. I took a small loan to pay for it which is easily paid off. The Talon was funded with 5 years worth of summer wages at $25 an hour. I somehow manage to make ends meet. I'm really looking forward to a real job now that I am graduating from college.

Nice find and the service engine light is a common thing for some reason on our cars after we buy them LOL.

That's partly because you're in NY/New England, where imports are rarer compared to Southern California. But yeah, its a rare car in general.

Wow. I knew it was rare, but didn't think it was THAT rare! I'm excited and really looking forward to making it one of the fastest ones too ;)

Hopefully everyone here will be able to help with that goal.

i have a hard time believing the rarity of the s14a. I see my fare share of them for being so rare. Maybe there were just more brought to my region. they are not as common as the s14 or s13 but still.

man, indeed they are super rare. i actually came across one in my home town. i rubbed my eyes and pinched myself for like an hour and a half, but it was still there staring at me on some used dealership parking lot. i returned the next day and it was gone. i cried like a girl for days.

Heh, ive been working at niketown for to long. A pick up is where a collector buys vintage or expensive sneakers for less cash. (yes i get the bad joke i just felt i had some splaining to do lucy)
