Well, after a long search (the only one within 500 miles of me) for a black on black fully loaded Infiniti, I finally found one. It is a one (adult) owner car, from San Diego and well maintained and taken care of. It is near perfect and a wonderful platform for a VIP vision I have.

The M is literally fully loaded, Navigation, Voice recognition/activation, Intelligent cruise, Sports package, Technology package, Comfort package, dark birds eye maple wood. Heated/cooled seats, power everything and I picked it up with 42,800 miles. It set me back $24k but it was so worth it. This car is clean with very minimal signs of use (not abuse), a few dings that can simply be removed, a few scuffs on the rear bumper (brand new front bumper cause owner didn't want a plate bracket on there). The interior is flawless (owner had a brand new driver seat put in cause it showed too much wear on it) and of course the performance and ride is fabulous...

On the way back from Cali heading back to Arizona I conducted my first kill on the highway. I rolled up next to a clean late 90's SS Camaro, Black with silver stripes. I got on it a bit and took off about 3 car lengths, figured homeboy didn't want to race. Then all of a sudden he tried a GM run on me, I saw him speed up on me at about one car length away, then I hit the throttle just as he was at my back end, he gained about a car length on me but I reeled him in at about 110mph, and walked him about four car lengths ahead of him at a speed of 140+. there was no sign of him braking or slowing down as I was passing him so I know he was on the throttle the whole time, and we were on a long straight stretch of road and nobody in front of us. It was a clear win for me, after that he just hung back up to Yuma.

Interior I would rate 10Exterior a 9Ride and performance a 10

Here is a teaser pic of the ride and a link to my shared Photobucket so I don't eat up bandwidth here. These pics are simple pics I took in the morning before work.LINKY: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v426/MKIVPWR/M45/

Plans for now are to, put some Work Varianza D3S 20" wheels on it. Lower it with either a coil over kit or air ride suspension, put a Junction produce wing on it. And I am looking for a simply and clean body kit, maybe just a front bumper lip, side skirts and a rear bumper lip if they even make this type of kits.I found this following pic of the exact kit I like, but I have no idea who makes this, so if anyone does please chime in.KIT I LOVE:

And here is a pic of what my car will look like lowered and with the wheels I want, I understand now that these are Traficstar/Maya wheels however the Work D3S' are pretty much the same.:

Congrats on the purchase, beautiful car... Welcome to the boards :-)

With that said, I'm gonna have to call a little BS on ya. Either that guy missed a gear or you've got a big shot of nitrous on your M. My room mate has a 97 WS6 Trans Am with minimal work done to it (straight pipe exhaust), stock gearing and a 6 speed. I had him up to about 50 mph (he's all wheelspin off the line) and then as soon as he hit 2nd there was no looking back... he was gone... at about 100 he had a good 5 or 7 cars on me, and was gaining more.

We tried it again at about 65 on the highway all the way to about 140, and there just wasn't even a race. The LT1 cars mid gear are no match for the gearing and power/weight of an M. The LS1 cars are even faster. So yeah, either that guy can't drive or you got more of a steal than you think for $24k.

Welcome,That is a beautiful car you got there. It seems the chrome wheels work with the Obsidian Black. I am not sure if I would like them with my color. I am glad you got your first road "victim". Did you get the extended warranty? If not, especially with the tech package, it is highly recommended. Since your car is still under the factory warranty, it will be a good bit cheaper. The Infiniti Elite warranty is the way to go. Without it, even Infiniti's standard extended warranty, the Nav and audio systems will not be covered once the original warranty ends. Cheers and welcome again,Mark

I'll second that F-body caution - you don't want to race a 4th gen, especially one with the LS1 (1998 and after). I owned one for many years so I know what I'm talking about. The M is a great car for many reasons but the F-bodies are not to be messed with. They are 500lbs ligher with similar horsepower and more torque.

Nice car you got there - welcome!

Beautiful car.

The dubs ought to bring it down to the Camaro performance levels.

Last two cars look like doorstops. Yours looks best performing and most functional.

Welcome to the Forum. Congrats on the roadkill, i recently myself had to show someone that the M is not to be played with. In St.Louis there is Hall St. It's mostly industrial business in that area and people have been racing there since the 60's. Anywho, being a spectator i was approached from a guy with an 03 Mercury Marauder, with some work done to it. To make a long story short, 4car lengths by 1/4mile My 2nd victim was my friend driving my '99 stang convertible. Really hated to beat up on my first luv, but what can i say, there's a new luv in my life now

I have wanted an M45 for about 2 years now, but have had money flowing towards the RB25 pretty constantly so it hasn't been possible. But one thing that has shocked the hell out of me is how fast the 4.5L is. I run about a 14.2 @100mph in the RB25 and that is what I have seen out of the M45 right out of the box!

I love your wheel choice BTW. I was actually looking at getting the wheels on the silver M (Wed's Kranze) but the sizes I wanted were about $3000. Not exactly in the budget when there's already a $10k budget for the RB this winter

Thanks, and I must say I am pretty darn impressed myself. And those that doubt my kill are certainly free too, but they were not there (my buddy was and he owns a 900+hp Supra and actually was the one to egg me on to run him). In addition, I know what a clear kill is driving a 650+hp Supra as I own one, even more so a highway pull, which the doubters need to take into consideration. It was a top end highway pull, not a light to light. And the Camaro simply ran out of top end steam...nuff said.

As for those wheels for your silver M, check these out, the price is good, they'll fit and they are a very clean and aggressive looking wheel.

Well, I don’t doubt the kill, but I do doubt if that Camaro SS gave you a real race. I”ve driven my buddys stock 1996 SS Camaro and it is nothing to mess with. If I were to end up next to one at a red lite, I’d pass on the A$$ kicking!!! That car is a 300+ HP SuperSport with gobs of torgue, plus it is lighter than our 4000lb M45 Sedans

You never know, though... again, depending on how that guy drove, there's a good chance he may have missed a shift, or just kept it in a high gear and not even down shifted. A kill is a kill though, and props for taking down a beast, either way that guy feels like an idiot. I know my room mate felt like an idiot for losing all the way up to about 60. Shortly there after he got a straight pipe exhaust put on a his cats cut off... not that it made his WS6 any faster, it sure made it sound a LOT more sinister.

I always LOVE finding those guys w/ the suped up 5 liter stangs and the 4.6L guys that have all the ground effects and cobra badges... the look on their face when I pull away from them around 40 is just priceless. That's probably my favorite kill. You just gotta be careful w/ some of the *real* cobra's out there... if you hear whine coming from the motor, back off! haha.

I used to think of the car highly till i read specifications...... so Ide trade in the M for a 06 Q since its wayyyy more of lux and oh "ill be keeping the reliability" and ill still hang with Infiniti at the end of ze day... but hey at the end of the day its what you want right? its what you drive? so don’t be others puppet CD... and if you are going to be a sheep with the lady that sucks cuz you live once so bring out the manly man you go with your heart when it comes to cars you cant have too many if you can afford it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
