It's almost been a year now with this 240sx. Progress made: not so much but I'm trying. Here's an itemized list of things I've done (no one reads huge paragraphs so I might as well bullet point it):
1) Removed the engine. It had a knock so it had to go!
2) Gutted the interior. I'm not sure what moron ever thought a brown interior would work. Plus it smelled. Now it has new carpet (not completely done until I get the wiring in), black interior (no black belts yet), leather seats, and red tach needles now. Sound deadner removal = biggest waste of my short life. Also, if you plan to install new carpet, get a premolded/cut one and save your old one, another rookie mistake. I tried to carpet the rear seats, just don't know what I think of it yet.
No before pictures because that stuff was out instantly.
3) Rust repairs. Annoying but needed. Sill grinding patching but only one spot left.

Motor-Anything but an SR20DET. Great motor but they are so common now. Would really like to go KA-T or RB20DET.
I would also like to thank those who have contributed writeups to NICO as there is no way I would have even bought a 240sx without your help and the communities help in general.
Thanks
