yes $2000 minimum to $10,000 maximum fine. Newish type law in canada that says if you are going 50km over the speed limit its considered 'street racing/stunt driving' ... fmlWhite Comet wrote: i'm sorry, did i read that right?
i gotta say, i never heard that before and i find it kinda hard to believe since 30+ over the limit is a max speed violation and only results in 2 week suspension of your licenseDriftBoy07 wrote:In the states if your pegged goin 25+ over it can be regarded as reckless and you can go to jail for a year.
Yeah I have never had a ticket for less than 25mph over and my tickets have never been over 200 dollars. I think if you double the speed limit they call it wreckless... so maybe 25 over in a school zone? Even then Im sure it would just be a fat-a** ticket. Doubt they would lock you up for a year. Locking someone up for a year costs the state an a**-load of money. I doubt they wanna spend their prison budget on traffic law violators.White Comet wrote: i gotta say, i never heard that before and i find it kinda hard to believe since 30+ over the limit is a max speed violation and only results in 2 week suspension of your license

The Commonwealth considers 20 over as reckless. At that point, you can get your license suspended as well as the nice fat reckless endangerment ticket. Usually if you're close to the 20 over mark and you're nice to the officer, he'll knock it down to 19 over to avoid putting you in the reckless zone.kyle454 wrote:in va 15 over 50 is considered reckless. and then like 40-50 is considered like intent to kill
and we use km/h so its not even that fast lolNesquick wrote:in canada
50 over = street racing2x limit = attempted suicide + intent to kill if your driving alone ORwith passenger = attempted murder
Also in my case; in canada:Nesquick wrote:in canada
