1993 180sx bought her 2 weeks ago with 29900kms on it, im in love with it. Plans were to get the apexi n1 dual muffler kit + Volk Te37's + Origin Stream Kit, but while i was going down to toronto in my dads nav, unfrotunately i got hit hard with a speeding ticket from 2000-10000 dollars... I find out how much i have to pay next friday when i go to court (155km/hr in a 90zone... tried to scramble to make my flight ) oh well anyways Plans now have kinda changed for this car. Still wanna get the apexi n1 first then some coilovers and then the wheels and then the kit. Anyone suggest some decently priced/bang-for-buck coilovers? Only mods on it are Pioneer cd player, still have to wire my amp and subs, which i bought myself, and a turbo timer which came with the car. ANYWAYYYSSSS haha here are some pictures:

yes $2000 minimum to $10,000 maximum fine. Newish type law in canada that says if you are going 50km over the speed limit its considered 'street racing/stunt driving' ... fml

as far as cheap coils are concerned, you should go with PBM, their coils are nice and beefy and go super low, plus, they are only $1,000.

i gotta say, i never heard that before and i find it kinda hard to believe since 30+ over the limit is a max speed violation and only results in 2 week suspension of your license

So, good news in the court room last friday. I was supposed to be charged for 2 different things, one for speeding, and the other for stunt driving, and i lucked the f*** out. the speeding one was calculated to $670and some cents, and the stunt driving was like 2400ish, when i talked to the prosecutor they said i was super lucky because the law was changed 1 week before my court, so the 2400 fine had to be dropped! Yes!!!! Gonna order Apexi N1 Duals + check out some dece coilovers :D any1 got any primo used ones? or should i just get brand new ones?

Yeah I have never had a ticket for less than 25mph over and my tickets have never been over 200 dollars. I think if you double the speed limit they call it wreckless... so maybe 25 over in a school zone? Even then Im sure it would just be a fat-a** ticket. Doubt they would lock you up for a year. Locking someone up for a year costs the state an a**-load of money. I doubt they wanna spend their prison budget on traffic law violators.

The Commonwealth considers 20 over as reckless. At that point, you can get your license suspended as well as the nice fat reckless endangerment ticket. Usually if you're close to the 20 over mark and you're nice to the officer, he'll knock it down to 19 over to avoid putting you in the reckless zone.

Also in my case; in canada:

Brm 2.5" SS exhaust with 22" resonator, catco cat, magnaflow dual tip muffler = two exhaust tickets "improper muffler" + "unecessary noise" while just getting into the highway merging lanes.

Ontario, Canada is gay and so are the laws and so are the trash quality roads. Screw you government

As far as the Coilovers go, Id go with some Powered By Max. They have quite a good rep. Ive heard only good things about it. And theyre a budget buy. 1000 bucks and their yours. As far as the ticket. Man you got real luky to honest. lol. U cudda spent twice that money. But yea laws are getting stricter evry year. What sucks tho is me and my friend always go down the road behind us doin 105mph, HAHA. the speed limit is 45mph. We get caught were F'd. And he has no airbags if we crash. lol..1992 Mazda protege DX
