Well, if all goes well I'll be filling out the paperwork this week and picking up my blue 2.5 A/C this coming Saturday... pretty excited about that, it looks awesome!

I'd like to thank those who threw in their thoughts and recommendations on my other thread, it was all welcome and appreciated... Can't wait to pick up my new ride!

It is a CVT, my Sentra is currently a stick, which I love but this was a pretty good deal so I decided I couldn't pass it up. I got it for 14,991, and then I'll have to pay taxes once I get it back home, so I'd say about 16 even, maybe a bit over. It's got 28k miles, which is a fair amount, but from that mileage thread I was reading it sounds like many people drive their vehicles quite a lot.

I'm sure I'll drive more than I do now, but in 39 months I've put 25k on my Sentra, so I'm not too worried about it. Still got the factory warranty for awhile, so I should be able to get stuff ironed out if there are any problems.

As for plans, I wouldn't mind getting myself a projector upgrade perhaps, as well as some new wheels. I was thinking possibly some Infiniti coupe wheels, or the 18's from the 3.5, I saw those recently and they look pretty nice... Just some sort of upgrade from the current state. As far as debadging, I'll have to get on that once I get the chance, but frankly I'm more concerned with picking this baby up, I can't wait!

Well, I'm a little on the angry side right now. As if it's any surprise, the stealership's been giving me the runaround today. First, the salesman quoted me the $14,991 price which included the $400 "convenience fee", and said I'd pay taxes when I got it back home. Additionally, I have that in his email for whatever it's worth. That's fine, a little odd as I expected they'd just figure out the rate where I live and charge it when I buy the car.

Then I get in touch with the finance woman, who has gone out and found me financing, which turned out to be a lower rate than my bank. Sounds good at this point right? Well she proceeds to basically not listen to anything I'm saying, and somehow her payments go from being $280 to $325 during the conversation, and I'm thinking it's gonna be a $13,000 loan at most for 60 months at 6.24% - $250 or so a month tops... Not to mention she refuses to write the contract for the right county for no understandable reason...

So I'm irritated at that, I talk to my dad about it too, and he decides he'll call this woman and see what he can find out. Well guess what? She's not only charging the fee on top of the agreed price, she also decided she'd just throw in gap insurance and a 3rd party extended warranty just for the heck of it... that's b/s, of course I suppose that's why they call them "stealerships" anyway right? So they're trying to get me to sign a contract that's incorrect under the guise that "we can make any changes when you get here" as if I'm some idiot who's in a hurry to just buy a car. The absolute only reason for me to go there is to pick up the keys and car and drive off.

I'm not going to be strong-armed, I'll tell you that much, and if they aren't going to write the contract as we agreed to then I'll be going elsewhere. It's just infuriating that they think they can just bully people into that stuff and get away with it. I guess it's because they often do.

And that still doesn't get anywhere remotely near $325 a month for 72 months, which was one of the terms she was trying to get me to agree to. Anyway, I'll certainly keep anybody who is interested updated on the situation, or just put it up for my own benefit to blow off some steam.

Well I guess I've kinda been searching around for the "best" deal... Also, my hometown doesn't have too terribly much selection. Now, I may end up having to spend some more money of course, it just seemed like a pretty solid deal. Good price, ~higher mileage, clean autocheck, figure the factory warranty should cover any small issues I might have... but I guess nothing's a guarantee of course

Well, folks, thanks again for all the input, it was crucial in making the decision....I picked up my coupe last night and arrived home (finally) this evening...I paid the original quoted price...no funny business

This was the first long haul that I've ever enjoyed, and it's thanks to the awesome car that I was driving....I took off from Denver around 3 am and had to stop for gas a little while after...the only issue I faced was that the fuel door stuck, has anyone ever encountered that? I finally got it open (creative thinking FTW) and was able to gas it up and it's been functioning since, but I didn't want to have to deal with this in the future in case any of you have witnessed this problem

Anyway, I'm happy to join the ranks of the elite and I'd like to hear of some of the trials and tribulations (if they exist) of my fellow brethren

I'm glad you asked...I was gonna start a new thread, but I'm hoping you can help...

I'm just getting out of college so I'm working on saving a bit of money to do a few things...(also, don't judge me, I'm a n00b at modding, haha)

I want to set up an ipod/iphone dock, I want to mod/upgrade the rear view mirror (it's completely bare),I want to put in a nav system

my brother was talking about kick plates, but I wanna start with the basics....suggestions/$$ estimates?

the ipod/iphone dock and nav system can be done with just an aftermarket head unit.

well it really depends onwhat type of modding you want to do... If your looking for better performance , then a short ram intake and a new dual exhaust system and a spring kit. For apperance it's solely based on what you look for in your car...I can do with the stock sound system so I only deal with the visual aspect of my A/C. So far I have tints, interior glow set, and my custom headlights, probably costing me $650-$700, I'm looking into rims and fog lights as of now. Basically it's all up to you, I would start with debadging, even though I like my badges

cool, any idea what kind of cost I'm looking at/suggestions on systems to get...I want it to look good as I plan to hold on to this for as long as possible

like I said, I'm a n00b and I have no idea what I'm doing...however, I'm doing my best to change that up
