My MPH on Gauge Cluster doesnt work :(

okay so i bought a s14, the problem is the mph on the gauge cluster doesn't work. every other feature on the cluster works except that. I changed out the gauge cluster and still same problem. The previous guy that had it swaped auto to manual. I asked if it worked before swap he said it didnt also

So what could be the problem? loose wire somewhere? harness?

Bad wiring, connection, or vehicle speed sensor.

If it didn't work before the swap, its probably not the actual speedometer. Look around on the internet for a wiring diagram for your car...find the speedo wire coming from the dash plug and trace it back to make sure the wire is okay.
