My motor wont fit!!!

Umm... Ive been working on my sr swap for some time now and I still cant figure out why the valve cover is sticking out of the engine comp. about 1/8th ".

Anyone have any ideas?

did you put the hood on the car?

i sorda thought it wouldnt fit either when i first did the swap...well i knew it would but every1 who walked into my shop class was like wtf is wrong with ur engine. Put the damn hood on and close it...it fits

yeah if you look across the fenders evenly it sticks up a bit

remember the motor mounts do have sides meaning one goes on driver and the other goes on passenger

Your hood bows as it nears the center...

ALl SRs sit like that and Ive noticed a trend of the front of the motors being rubbed because of the fact they sit up so high towards the hood toawards the front of the motor.

Thanks guys. I put the motor in and pulled it back out twice to see if its something in the motor mounts. It looks exactly like the picture shows. I guess it should clear then.

THANKS!!!! now I can just finish it. I didnt want to do the harness and all the IC piping if I would just have to pull it back out to figure it out.
