So i just dropped $$$ on the Avid Racing CNC motor/ trans mounts and man are those things stiff, i mean way too stiff. In my opinion they too aggressive for track use let alone street use. It feels like my car is going to fall apart. Primary use of the car is around 70% track 30% street.

I'M considering doing the whole job again and installing nismos, am i crazy?anyone looking for solid mounts/trade for nismos?

it really depends what your looking for. comfort? then go with the nismos. i know what the nismo mounts feel like and ya you dont feel any vibration with them. I'm personally running the jgy motor/transmission mounts and love them. they make my car rumble inside and out but if you dont mind the minor buzzing and rattles they are great, especially the transmission mount! just my 2cents tho.

i actually just installed the avid mounts a few weeks ago the day after the install i ordered the Megan racing mounts way to much vibration for me. i daily drive the car and it was way to much in stop and go traffic. the old drivers side mounts was ripped in two and it felt more comfortable then the avid. don't get me wrong if i was going with a all out race car i would use them you can feel the power getting to the ground a lot better but still if you drive everyday definitely think twice before purchasing you'll be pretty pissed on that first start-up

if your 70% track..you want that solid mount...there is a way to help controll the rattles a bit...use some silicone on floor panels ..dorr jambs..or anything else that will rattle..at joints..and or wire harnesses that runs on the inside of the cockpit..this should quiet it down some...if its still to much..then make some hockey puck mounts..there inbetween solid and nismo..still hard..but some dampening..good luck

I've been running cusco solid mounts for about a year now. I get a lot of rattle and vibration, especially at lower engine speeds, but it's not as bad as when I first put them in.

They do settle down a bit over time, and with silicone to fight the rattle it's actually not that bad.

Well it been a few months now, and I just wanted to give you guys an updade on my situation. I'm still running that avid mounts, an contrary to someones post above, I don't believe the mounts get better (less vibration) over time, I think you mearly get used to it.

If I had the time and money I would go with the jgy poly mounts, but I don't. The car is now 100% track, And I do enjoy the response, I have a stock sr, and just about everyone that drives the car mentions the power, response, and feel.

thats why they make em sire..for the responce...its all about getting the power to the ground...less engine moovement when excellerating will equal more power to the ground faster..helping you out of the corners...im glad you kept them for your track car...have fun man..

Hey guys

I have cusco engine mounts on my KA24DE and peak performance 'race transmission mounts' one or the other has gotten worse over the past two years... the car is not as responsive as before and shifting is not as dead on as before... which i dont like. I am 'used to' the vibrations lol plus they mostly go away once you start going at it plus on track it was frickin awesome...

I am looking to replace them and I am considering getting these avid ones... i am tyring to get an idea how they compare to cusco's engine mounts and the peak perf hard polyurethane 'race' transmission mounts...

Please let me know... any experiences to compare with?
