S13 Ricer rescue

Ive been on this forum countless times, and it has provided me with a wealth of information, and has helped me get the car back on the road. So i figured i would post up the car for everyone to see, since in a round about way, you guys helped me build it lol! Many times have i come here to use the DIY writeups!

Introducing my 1990 240sx:

When i first brought the car home. 296,000 miles, original ka24e, original 5 speed transmission. This car was a ricer rescue. i ripped the giant a** wing off before i took the pictures.

The suspension was toast. Only thing that was good on the car was the coilovers. they only had 1000 miles on them. So i replaced all the bushings with brand new oem units, and added some Suspension Techniques sway bars, circuit sports tension rods and rear upper control arms.

After that, i ordered the kouki tailights

Next up came the motor swap. this was a pain in the a** because i had a friend who was helping me with the swap ditch me. the car sat for about 5 months until all the issues were solved. The OEM turbo was blown, so i replaced that with a new OEM unit. The oil pan was dented and the pickup was crushed, so i had to fix that. Thankfully when i moved up here i ran into a true nissan guru and he helped me finish everything. Now i drive it every other day!

Thanks! I was very lucky to find it and buy it before it was going to be riced out by some kid. The intierior is imaculate and the dash is not cracked. I only paid 2k for the car(which already had the coilovers and exhaust on it) and recieved a spare ka24e, another 5 speed, and a new hatch with it.

nice, turned out really clean. but is that driver side fender damage i see?

Yes it is... The story from the previous owner is that someone with a tow hitch on the back of a truck backed into it. I have a replacement door already, and im waiting on funds to do a silvia front.

Actually, it had roughly 312k on it when i pulled the ka24e out of it. The stock ka pulled hard even with that much on it. The odo crapped out at about 296k and with the trips i took it on it adds up to about that much. Only reason i did the swap was because the money just lined up. Im doing the silvia front because ive seen alot of type x's, but not alot of "sileighties", at least not around me. I have a freind who did the full type x conversion(sameperson who also helped me finish the wiring on my car.) His car is sweet, ka24e turbo with just under or around 400hp@ 12 pounds. Ill post pics the next time i get together with him.

Thats the basic plan! Just looking for a good set of low profile side skirts that would match with the pignose lip....And the paint on this car is original as well, never been repainted...amazing its held up this long...
