I am about to make the swap.I have looked through as many of the swap threads on the search as my mind can handle.

I understand the trick you need to do in the wire harness for the car to start & roof to move, & reverse lights to come on - no problem...

My question:Do I need to connect any wiring to the Neutral position switch, or the TOP position switch on the transmission.

ALSO: I do not have an OD position swithc on my donar transmission.... Does this seem right???

Thanks

OD is 5th gear. However, you don't need either of those switches to make the car run. So long as you have your reverse switch

So if the Top position switch isn't connected it will still run fine?

Yes. The 5th gear switch is part of the speed limiter along with the speed sensor IIRC. The neutral switch is there for helping to trim the idle

Sorry: I don't know what trim the idle means...... Can I ignore the nuetral switch as well??

Also: In the schematic of the MT, it shows an OD switch my transmission does NOT have one. I have bought the right transmission for my car haven't I?????

Trimming is another term for adjusting. It's computer controlled.

And for future clarification. Top position is 4th gear. This is all listed in the service manual.
