i'm hitting 5volts at 4000rpms under WOT. this is a bit odd. i've tried 2 MAFS and i have had the same problem with both. i'm running UBER rich as a result and the car has no power.

this is an S13 blacktop with the OEM MAF and i replaced it with a SOHC KA20E MAF and i get the same problem.

anyone else had a similar problem? or know whas causing it?

Do you have a upgraded turbo? increased boost? You might just be out of the range of the MAFS.

If you have tried to MAFS and are getting the same reading with both then the next thing I would suspect is the wiring go to the MAFS.

i ran new wires for signal and ground and got the same reading. I'm starting to think it is a boost leak. I am currently replacing all the hose couplers and tonight i will to a pressure test on the intercooler piping and see what happens. hopefully there will be one large easily fixable leak....most likely that won't be the case though.

the turbo is a GT2530....so yea it's upgraded but i'm only running minimal boost on it (1bar)
