Okay so I was cleaning my throttle body with Seafoam deep creep, and when I tried to start her up, she wouldn't start, so I gave her a lil gas, then she did, and I heard a knocking/ticking noise. It is deff coming from the internals. Brought her to the infiniti dealership and they said it sounds like the intake/exhaust valves from the rear passenger side cylinder.

After driving to my garage, I found 2 of these metal objects? Do any of you guys know what that is or is for?

I found a video on what my m sounds like minus the g35's aftermarket exhaust.

I have no engine light on now. Before I did, and had the camshaft sensor and assembly replaced but it still ticks!, and as the rpms increase the ticking gets faster. Happened right after I cleaned the throttle body too, and I used 1/3 of the can. Look like it's time to look for a used 3.5vq :/

here's another video of what it sounds like. Tomorrow i'll try to make a video myself, and hopefully you guys can tell what's wrong. I'm thinking bad camshaft (i got my camshaft sensor replaced, and the assembly) but let me know what damage would most likely have happened do to seafoam deep creep going down the throttle body/intake

Leave me some messages and feedback on what you guys think this is. I'm going to take the valve cover off, and just take a quick peek, and see the play in the valves/lifters

No, the knock was not there before the cleaning. It's an 06 and has only 92kmiles:(

I wonder how long this will last until i have to get an engine swap. I dont have money right now for this.

I don't know what that metal piece is, but it might hold a sensor in place. If it's to the cam sensor you had replaced recently, that would really screw things up. Who did the work? Maybe that shop would remember seeing the part (or maybe not as they left it loose).

Looks like it could be bolt sleeve that fits into the plastic engine cover.

If that is accurate, then the noise could be the other 1 or 2 pieces like this one. They could have fallen into the V of the motor or behind a spark plug wire and be rattling against the engine to make the noise. I hope it is something that simple :)

I just took the cover off my engine, and sure enough that metal piece goes to the engine cover (used as a washer/spacer on each bolt along with a rubber piece. If you can't find all four, one of them may be rattling around in spaces on top of the engine.
