I get up this morning, the sun is shining without a cloud in the sky, and it's the first real day that feels like spring. Finally can let the windows down and the sunroof open.

I drive up to check out my mom's new place, and see an R33 sitting in her parking lot. Hopefully it's the beginning of a new friendship, lol.

Then, I get a call from a guy who wants to buy the rims/tires I am selling that I bought for my old Camaro. $900 for everything! That is $900 closer to the paintjob I need

Next, my stepdad gives me his '89 Mercedes 300CE. It has been parked outside their old house for like 3 years, and has a crapload of miles (220,000+). It needs a rear oil seal and a clean up, but HOPEFULLY I can sell it to this old fart that lives around here and collects cars.

Days like these are few and far between for me, that is why I felt the need to share it. If only every day were like this...

Sounds like a nice day for you. I'm parting out a old shop and found a 2.3L stroker kit for a 4g63 and a bunch of other DSM stuff.

Sounds like you had a very lucky day The weather helps a lot too. It's been so nice here lately. Did the skyline have any work done to it? You definitely need to become friends with him lol.

Wait, so the Skyline was at your mom's house?

I'm in MD too, where's Taneytown? There's a silver R33 from Frederick Nissan that runs around in my area.

Yeah, the Frederick Nissan Skyline was the one I saw. It was in the parking lot at my mother's apartment complex in Frederick (I don't live with her.) Taneytown is near Westminster...45 minutes or so from Frederick.

About the custom box...

My grandfather has a woodworking shop, so me and him made it. It was really pretty easy. You won't be able to fit anything bigger than 10's in there, I almost had to trim the speaker rings.

Just cut the board so it fits in that hole between the backseat and trunk (may be tricky because of the rear strut towers.) Then I cut the two holes, got some speaker box carpet from a local car audio store and covered it, then mounted the subs. I drilled five holes and stuck a bolt through each, then used some washers and nuts to hold them in there. You can see in the pic I had to make a spacer for each side and the top so the board would draw up tight.

I think it sounds really nice for my first do it yourself speaker box project, I was afraid of vibration but there is none at all. As soon as I get some more wood Im gonna work on closing it in to see if that sounds any better.
