I would recommend it regardless. These coils are 100x stronger than the stock ones and with the correct dwell settings then make lightning bolts. Cheap mod for the amount of performance and reliablity you receive. I picked up the coils from a junkyard for $75 with connectors and got a molex connector from radioshack for $5. $100 tops would do this and makes a huge difference. Just to test I left the plugs in the car that stopped firing with the stock coils and after the swap they worked like new. Does away with the ignitor too. If anyone has any questions on how to do this just ask.

Dangit....Thats looks similar to how I had my setup put together in my head. Guess im gonna have to change it a little bit....lol Looks like it was meant to be there...Good work my homie!!

Here's a shot of mine for reference....

I honestly notice no difference after switching over to AEM's recommended settings.....When I dyno'd 718rwhp on the mustang dyno, it was on stock used coils with a new OEM harness

i felt a big difference over my stock coilpacks. runs much smoother and stronger.

I had originally set my coils up like the OP's but came to the conclusion that it would make changing plugs harder. Laziness prevailed.

It's a nice upgrade for sure.

do i just use my wires that would go into the igniter chip to the 12v source of the ls coils?

I looked at a few other threads of this how do I know which wires from the IN on the ignighter to which cylinders
