You are not going to believe this. The California budget problems, overspending, etc., etc.,etc. are legendary and the laughing stock of the country. The state legislature's inability to accomplish anything is just as laughable.
So, today, we get a letter on state assembly letterhead from our local assemblyman, Bill Emmerson.
"Dear Mr. & Mrs. XXXXXXXX,
As part of an ongoing effort to reach out to constituents and be helpful where possible during this recession, I am sending you tips on managing your credit. I hope you find them useful.
Create and follow a budget.....
Pay your bills on time......
Pay more than the minimum.......
Ask for help when you need it........
Please do not hesitate to contact my office if I can be of any further assistance to you. It is a pleasure to represent you in the State Assembly.
Sincerely,
Bill EmmersonAssemblymember, District 63"
I've got an idea. How about you follow your own friggin' advice in the state assembly and do your job? Quit spending money on the letterhead and staff it took to publish this garbage!
What a moron!
