My loaner EX35 felt and drove differently

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

A couple of things I noticed with the loaner EX 35 is it felt different in the steering, and it seemed to be more responsive with out the slight delay when punching it. Overall it felt heavier/

I have a late 2008 (october) EX35, Pearl, fully loaded. I took my vehicle in for a bit of body repair (see my other thread). The dealership gave me a 2009 EX35 as a loaner, it was not fully loaded.

Noticeable differences were the dials for the seat heater controls, the colour of the display screen (green hint to it), the sonar sensor beeps were different in sound. The steering was considerably stiffer/tighter. Not as easy to turn with one hand (yes I know two hands :) but it was very noticeable. The brakes were more sensitive and when punching the car the slight delay/lag was not there.

I want the brakes and the positive acceleration, but otherwise I am truly happy with my 08.

So you have and AWD and the loaner is an AWD? When I jump from my 2WD to an AWD I notice the heavier steering and the impact the additional mass and friction has acceleration.

Both models are AWD. Canada only has the AWD. While I was driving to work this morning, I have decided my EX seems lighter, with acceleration being smooth, but not sit you back in your seat. I should also mention both EX's are at 6000KM

There is always a slight adjustment here and tweak there over and new software from year to year.

I too really like the rotating seat heater switches.

The '10 has a new Nav software and updated HDD.

most of the loaners we get are completely trashed out. Last one was a G37x stripper and I wouldn't wish that car on anyone. What a POS. Now I understand what Infiniti meant when they said the EX35 was the most luxurious infiniti ever...it is in a league of it's own compared to other models.
