Hey guys - As most know, I've got an S14 SR in my kouki. Yada yada, primarily stock. Well that "boost bug" has bitten me after I took a drive in a friends Supra. SO. Here's my little build for the summer, just to keep me busy. Honestly, I think it would just be considered "bolt on's" seeing as I'm not pulling the engine for anything, or "building it up" to handle gobs of horsepower.

Basically, what I was thinking is maybe 250-275 HP with capabilities of 300. MAYBE 300.

So, what I'm looking at to produce this power? 12 PSI on stock T-28.

I figured, with the many subaru's in this town, I could find a set of injectors relatively quickly. A Z32 MAF to give me air/fuel chart I need, and a tune either VIA standalone or ECU from Jim Wolfe. And yes, I do plan to go front mount, and at 12 PSI have to most likely rid my recirculation valve :(.

Anything else I may need to add to this list, or if you can just give me a guess at what THIS list would make, that'd be great. Thanks guys!

Corey aka CRyan

you should be able to make 250 on the stock s14 sr with a boost controller and exhaust...

i'm assuming thats not enough for you haha. with what you have listed, and really pushing the T-28 you might be able to hit a little over 300. i've seen it done, but i'm not convinced on the safety of the setups.

Thanks for the info.

So I assume your saying 12 psi is pushing that T28 a little far? Isn't the Garret model the GT28## (don't remember numbers)? 250 would be plenty, ideal would be 275.

Also, my wastegate (HKS) has an adjustment, seeing as I have that - do I necessarily need a boost controller?

While I'm thinking about it, I've got a "makeshift" boost gauge. Anybody heard of PLX (?) gauges?

12 psi isn't pushing the T-28 at all, i run 18-21 with mine. you dont want to run that much without injectors and such.
You'll still need a boost controller.
